Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the naga balti, with the chicken tikka naga balti called superb and the pickle tray described as one of the best one reviewer has had. A long-standing regular orders chicken pathia, pilau rice and a peshwari naan, and praises fresh, flavourful cooking and a team happy to adjust dishes. Takeaway pickups are described as well packed with massive portions, and the hot cloths handed out after a meal get a mention. Close behind is service, called friendly and welcoming by several, though one first-time diner says a staff member told their table to eat and drink quickly and leave after ordering poppadoms and two drinks. Complaints about value and takeaway quality are specific: one reviewer found six poppadoms and a naga prawn balti with only four prawns overpriced and the garlic naan very sweet, and said the coloured spotlights hid the colour of the food. Two takeaway customers report cold curry, and one says the chips were like sharp pieces of wood and drove back for replacements, while another describes a watery curry and feeling a bit sick afterward.

“Ordered tonight. The worst curry I've eaten in my life. Came cold, tasted like watery soup and my partners food wasn't edible. We live a 2 minute drive away, just didn't want to leave the house tonight. Wish I just had a pot noodle to be honest. Actually feel a bit sick, never ordering again.”

“I came here first time and the service was appalling! We came to celebrate my brother's new job celebrations and we ordered poppadoms and 2 drinks. The man came up to us and told us to quickly eat and have our drinks quickly and leave! That was very uncomfortable to hear and very poor customer service. Never coming back here!! Never in my life has anyone said to leave quickly in a restaurant!!”

“I’ve been coming to this curry house for over 15 years, and it has never let me down. The team are always so friendly and welcoming, and they know my family well, which makes every visit feel special. One of the things I really appreciate is how they are always happy to make adjustments to dishes, nothing is ever too much trouble, and the food is consistently fresh, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour. Whether dining in the restaurant or ordering a takeaway, the quality is always spot on. Our go-to order is a chicken pathia, pilau rice, and a peshwari naan and honestly, nothing can beat it. The balance of flavours and the care put into every dish is what keeps us coming back after all these years. This is a true local gem, with excellent food, genuine hospitality, and a consistency that’s rare to find. Highly recommended!”
