  “Really enjoy this restaurant and atmosphere. It's the second time we've been. We went as a family of four, celebrating 2 birthdays and my eldest sons GCSE results. Unbeknownst to us the waitress had asked why we were in attendance. Both my lads were presented later on ...with thoughtful surprises: a personalised "Happy Birthday" wooden pig for the table and a celebration board dusted in icing sugar reading "Hickory's Smokehouse Happy Celebrations," complete with a frosted doughnut and candle. It’s those attentive, personal touches that set a place apart. As for the food, it was top-notch from start to finish. Between the sharing platter packed with wings, smoked sausage, and dips to the ribs, fries, and slaw, every portion was generous and packed with authentic barbecue flavour. The service was great, attentive, without being too much. Making our family milestones feel special. We will definitely be back for visit number three!”

  “First time visit and was blown away by how friendly and efficient the staff were. Great service and the food was amazing. I had not tried Brisket before , our waitress arranged some taster samples that were amazing . Rest assured I can now recommend the Brisket. It’s so tender and tasty . We had a lovely evening. Food arrived tasting and looking great. Service ace and a good atmosphere.”

  “First time going after the chain had been recommended by a friend. Will not be my last visit! Food was amazing, definitely worthy of being that special treat place. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, perfectly happy not arguing with the auto-added tip. Booked one of the outside huts which was lovely, great little touches like stuff waiting in there for the child in our group. Would have appreciated some fruity cider options in the available drinks, but that's just me being quite picky with what I like. Certainly worthy of the 5 stars given, and will be taking spot of my go-to birthday meal destination, can't think of much higher praise than that!”

  “Went for a “do-over” of my friends birthday, Sam the manager was amazing and invited us all back to have a better experience and I have to say all the staff went above and beyond! They were so attentive and friendly and also the food is always so good! We had an amazing time. Massive thanks to Corey for teaching my friend Alice to make her own drink behind the bar! Was an amazing experience and we would definitely recommend ❤️”

  “Was in the area for work and fancied some American BBQ. Fortunately this place was 5 mins from the hotel, and crucially, they had beef rib on the menu. It comes with a gravy which was surprisingly good. Served was fantastic. My server was great - the guy recommended (to be precise, he said “it’s banging”) the chopped smoked pork and jalapeño sausage , and it didn’t disappoint - thanks for the suggestion buddy! Really liked the atmosphere of the place. It felt very authentic.”

  “Came for my 3rd visit on Sunday for my birthday as usual everything was amazing friendly staff food hot and tasty gave me a free first drink at the bar even tho there was 14 of us 4 kids 10 adults the staff didn’t disappoint checking in regularly only issue was delay with one of our drinks which they quickly fixed after being aware will definitely be coming again soon as it reminds me of the time in Orlando”

  “Great experience! We had a late lunch here midweek - I had one of the BBQ trays (the ribs and cowboy buttered smoked chicken were amazing) and my wife had a mix of vegetarian options (highly recommend the garlic butter pretzel bites!). Everything was well cooked, really tasty, and our drinks were really well made. I loved the 'Lifes a Peach' iced tea. I have an allergy and was super impressed by the staff's approach - even showing me the allergen list for bar items. And we had great service from Sophie throughout!”

  “Absolutely loved our visit! The staff were incredible all so friendly, attentive and genuinely made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was great, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The whole vibe and atmosphere just ticked every box. It’s relaxed, fun and a great place to spend time. As a concept and space, it really makes for a fun and atmospheric dining. We’ll definitely be back!”

  “This is definitely a great place to celebrate birthdays. We were one of around six going on that night. Really good food and plenty of it, especially on my meat feast and some really decent beers at the bar. Good service and a great atmosphere with plenty of laughter and people having a good time. One drawback was the condition of the car park, with some serious potholes.”

  “Come here for the first time this evening for my sister’s birthday and was a 10/10 experience! our waiter Alex was amazing, great friendly, efficient and fast service making our visit nice and comfortable! food was so good and birthday extras was also a bonus. got to make your own cocktail behind the bar and get a cake bought out to you. will be visiting again!”
