About Two Henrys
Two Henrys is a pub in Battlefield, Shrewsbury, on Robert Jones Way, and it opens daily. The kitchen is built around chargrilled food, and a gourmet ribeye takes the weekend spot on the menu. The ultimate burger sits alongside a katsu chicken curry, so the choice runs beyond grills. Vegan and gluten free options are listed, and the menu changes regularly. An external children's play area gives families room to spread out during a meal, which suits parents who want to eat while the children play. The pub stands next to a Travel Lodge.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly, welcoming staff are the most repeated praise, with one reviewer describing a server who checked on the table repeatedly and another crediting a team that did its best after delivery problems left the menu limited. Diners name the katsu chicken curry and the ultimate burger, and one reports a steak cooked to perfection with seasoned fries. The kitchen draws sharper criticism for consistency. One reviewer ordered a steak medium rare and received it cremated, dry and tough. Another got burnt hunters chicken and chicken skewers raw in the middle. A third found the food nearly cold and bland, and objected to pints with almost no head and charges for extras like gherkins. Slow service recurs as well. One reviewer waited far too long for a meal on a quiet midweek evening, another was ignored with empty plates after a promised replacement never materialised, and one says delays usually come from lots of bookings. In that raw chicken case, money came off the bill, though the reviewer still wanted an apology.

“Arrived and all seemed to be good, quiet considering it was a Sunday afternoon. First thing told sorry sold out of Sunday lunch. Not a problem will can order from the menu. Place order in a timely way so far so good. Food comes out. My wife’s chicken was burnt, yes I get chargrill but this was burnt hard. Very little bbq sauce on the hunters chicken, a hard crunchy piece of bacon and a small amount of chips, I had the chicken skewers chicken wasn’t cooked properly and was raw in the middle. We conplained about the hunters chicken as we hadn’t discovered my undercooked chicken at this point. The server apologised offered to get a new one which we said but we wouldn’t be able to eat at the same time then. So he offered to sort something out. Never saw him again the whole time we were there. Just straight up vanished. When we finished we were then ignored for a full 30 mins with empty plates in front of us while trying to get attention of the waiting staff. Used to enjoy going here. Probably my last visit for a while. Absolutely shocking. Yes they sorted some money off the bill but it was a failure on their part to not even apologise to us for the issues.”

“Turned up after 8pm with the family after being on the road. Even though they had delivery issues that day and didn't have the full menu they done their very best for us and the food was smashing, very polite and friendly. Had a bottle of wine and a few drinks as travel lodge next door. All in all a lovely night 😊.”

“Came around 6pm for a bit of tea before the match. Lovely pub with a nice outside area, the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming . Steak cooked to perfection with nicely seasoned fries, wife had the chicken skewer to which we had no complaints. We were accommodated by a very pleasant girl called Lucia. She checked on us on multiple occasions and was very joyful to speak to. Hope to see her again on our next visit! Do not listen to the bad reviews as we were left extremely satisfied, service is fantastic and the pub is overall fantastic.”
