About The Armoury

“Came here as a group of eight on a Saturday evening, having made a reservation in advance. The staff were really friendly and helpful, but maybe there were not enough for the number of covers. Getting drinks took an age as the bar repeatedly ran out of the beer we ordered, and our server had to return to our table twice to ask for our third choice. Food also took a very long time, and we only had mains and desserts. The food options were good, as was the quality, but I think the servers and kitchen were overwhelmed.”

“Absolutely wonderful! All the staff are friendly and welcoming and made the whole experience enjoyable. There was a large party arriving not long after we were seated, but the staff remained attentive. The food was BEAUTIFUL! We both had the poached salmon salad; a very generous portion, flavourful and vibrant. Would 100% order again. Very reasonably priced overall with a great selection of choices.”

“The Armoury is a city pub - it's a truly impressive space, illuminated with lovely windows looking out over the river, with a good bar and massive bookcases, but it is never intimidating - Sunday lunch here with the family feels just like a pub lunch should feel like - the people on the tables around are warm and chatty, and there's a lovely atmosphere throughout.”
