  “Called in for a drink and was delighted to find Carib beer on draught. It's incredibly rare to see this in the UK, and it's been one of my favourite beers ever since visiting the Caribbean, so that was a real treat. The venue has a lovely, cool, and relaxed vibe, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy a drink. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the Caribbean-inspired setting added to the experience. We only stopped in for drinks this time, but after such a positive visit, I'll definitely be coming back to try the food at some point. If you're a fan of Carib beer or just looking for a chilled spot with a great atmosphere, Turtle Bay Sheffield is well worth a visit. 🍻🌴☀️”

  “EDIT a year later I have loved the jerk chicken but recent visit is disappointing. Even from the pictures you would be able to see the difference. After looking into their website just to realised the menu has changed - which explains the plate that I have here the sauce doesn’t even have kick at all and I don’t taste any scotch bonnet which is what jerk chicken is marinated with. It’s basically just roast chicken and only nice with the sauce that you can buy anywhere in the supermarket. —————————————————— I’ve only known Turtle Bay for its drinks, but this is the first time trying the food using a birthday voucher and was genuinely impressed. Highly recommend their fish taco. Fresh and well-balanced on flavour and texture of the fish and taco. We also ordered the jerk chicken. Personally, I would have liked more fragrance and heat from scotch bonnet, but I understand it might be toned down for a wider audience. That said, I appreciate that they offer Encona hot sauce on the side for an extra kick. Staff is friendly, and a pleasant atmosphere.”

  “What a vibe! The food was really nice this time around and we even made some friends. Everything was excellent, from the good tunes playing to the friendly staff who had excellent product knowledge about the menu. The only thing missing is a little karaoke booth for a Saturday night—I definitely wanted to sing! Highly recommend for a fun night out.”

  “Another visit to Turtle Bay, Sheffield for a date night with the hubby: a meal and drinks before a gig at City Hall and we were not disappointed. Fabulous vibes. Amazing food. And stonking ruuuuum cocktails!! We went away with full bellies and slightly staggering. Lena our waitress was fabulous and so lovely!! We will definitely be back again soon!!!”

  “This was the first breakfast ive had in turtle bay and I visited for the new breakfast menu and promotional offer as it was free for the first 10 guests. I was served by James who made me feel extremely welcomed as I was solo there was some gently music on and a nice atmosphere. I ordered a latte and then chose the sunrise steak & eggs. The dish was wonderful the steak was cooked well done which I would prefer medium rare although i wasnt asked however it was delicious and seasoned with the Trini-churi which was an absolute treat, the avocado was smashes with some chunks remaining and a full flavour of seasoning, the tomato was grilled but not too much so it retained its shape and taste. The egg was perfectly cooked and placed on top of a muffin to soak up the juices. Would certainly order this in the future.”

  “Love turtle bay but miss the old menu, they now charge separately for fries or rice as a side whereas a few months ago it came included in the main, but the price for the main has stayed the same. Good atmosphere and the cocktails still semi cheap. The staff are always amazing though, Lena is great!”

  “Wonderful afternoon had today at Turtle Bay. My wife and I had a bottomless brunch which includes 2 small plates of food or one larger plate for each of us plus unlimited cocktails for 90 minutes. The staff were very friendly and relaxed from the start, and were happy to let us choose where to sit, although a Monday afternoon is obviously not busy. There was a good selection of cocktails to choose from and we were asked for our next choice before finishing each one. We recommend the reggae rum punch as our favourite. I chose a larger plate of Sunrise steak and egg, and my wife had 2 small plates of Pit prawns and Mango fried chicken. All the meals were delightful, with some incredible spice and sauce mixes, the steak was cooked perfectly, as were the prawns, and my wife particularly loved the Mango chicken. The restaurant is lovely, with some beautiful artwork on the walls, lovely mellow reggae playing in the background and good lighting with plenty of space around. We thoroughly recommend Turtle Bay, we had no idea Caribbean food could be that good. The staff were lovely throughout as well. Thanks very much for a lovely afternoon and we can't wait to come back! 🥰”

  “We've been coming to turtle bay Sheffield regularly for many years. The quality of the food and service has always been consistent. Unfortunately, our latest experience was very disappointing... Turtle bay has followed suit of other big chains and is scaling back and compromising quality and standards. For example... - you used to get a cotton napkin, now paper - the homemade sodas would come in a 500ml bottle, now a small glass half of which was ice (photographed) - none of the mains come with sides, the waitress advised this was to allow for greater consumer choice but the cost of adding sides adds up and the portion sizes are small. - presentation... The food used to come on nice glazed plates which looked great, now it comes in basic boring white plates. This also impacts the presentation e.g sweetcorn fritters would come on a rectangle glazed plate and have coriander and pickled red onions and drizzled in sauce, now bunched on a basic white plate (photographed) - portion sizes - sweetcorn fritters, used to get 4, now you get three, coleslaw was small spoonful (photographed), a small tumbler half filled with fries (how cheap are fries... seriously?!) the ice cream has doubled in price from £1 a scoop to £2 a scoop and is served in a tiny silver cup (photographed). The desserts are £6 for a small slither of brownie with tiny blob of ice cream. Really doesn't represent value anymore. Also, the menu has changed to more typical European offerings of pizzas and burgers where you used to go to turtle bay for something a bit different. The only good thing is that the food does still taste great and the service was the same high standard (very friendly staff) but I feel that the presentation, the cut backs and the poor value negatively affects the overall experience and I shall no longer be visiting frequently as I did before and instead will try other food chains that have not compromised on the things that distinguish them from the rest.”

  “Attended Turtle bay yesterday. It was the first day of their new menu and we had the unlimited Bottomless Brunch for £36pp. Harry was our waiter and he did an amazing job. The food was incredible and the cocktails too. Although the selection of cocktails has been reduced there is still loads to pick from. Had a lovely time and when our time had finished we sat in the bar a took advantage of their 2 for £13 cocktails. ( has to be be 2 Of the same cocktail) I will definitely be back. I did prefer going in the week rather than a weekend the atmosphere is more relaxed.”
