  “I used visit this shop many times .but it has new owners absolutly did not enjoy my small fish and chips at £8.00 way too much for a ordinary meal which was poor.... i will.never revisit this shop again gone downhill It used be best chippy in the area”

  “Ordered a kebab with salad for £6 except it came without any salad, and a tray of chips and cheese which was only half full for £4. Really gone downhill, used to be lovely…”

  “I do not review often but this was the worst fish and chips I have ever had! The fish and chips were anaemic, so much so that my fish was soggy and chewy not crispy. Will not be going back here again! I understand Fridays are busy but after waiting half an hour in store i'd expect my food to be cooked properly.”

  “2nd visit... Chips were either overcooked or they'd put them back in to heat them up again. They were really dark brown coloured, soft and tasted burnt. Know it's only chips but when it's all you sell then they should be served correctly. …”

  “It used to be really good but lately the value for money has gone down massively. We bought a large portion of chips between two people and this is what we’ve got. Very disappointed as it’s not even what would normally be a regular portion but we still got charger full price. When your curry sauce takes up more space than your large bag of chips you know something is wrong.”

  “We've had fish and chips from here a couple of times and the first time it was soggy batter, the second time ( because we give the benefit of the doubt) I struggle with having skin on fried fish. I've never come across this before and it's weird and not enjoyable. For this reason we probably won't be buying the fish here again.”

  “The fish shop is under new management so we decided to have fish Friday and go to swallownest fish bar. On entering the lady was polite and asked what fish I required as its cooked to order I waited around 20mins for my 3 cod but I didn't mind that as I knew it would be fresh. The cod was well cooked very large and meaty and was delicious and so were the chips, the curry sauce was tasty too the cost of the cod was £6.80 per portion and large chips £2.95 the large chips was adequate for 3 of us. Would definitely use again and I hope they keep the same standards up and we wish them well.”

  “Only second time visiting the fish shop as I have to travel to get here. It was quiet and after talking to the owner he said January is always a quiet time. They cook fish to order at these quiet times which is understandable but at least you know it's cooked fresh. Very tasty fish and chips will call again.”
