Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly staff and lively atmosphere, with several describing a warm welcome from the landlady and bar team and a good laugh over a few pints. The pool table, a free darts board with darts supplied, and Sky Sports come up as the main pastimes. One reviewer praises the real ales, another calls the Moretti the cheapest pint in the area, and one family says they took their children and were made to feel welcome. Another credits a turnaround at a pub that had been on its knees. The complaints are sharper. One reviewer describes a children's Halloween party with kids running riot, no crowd control and rude staff, saying their daughter had a panic attack and the pub did not accommodate additional needs. Another says the place looked so run down they couldn't tell if it was open or derelict, and a third notes that people asked to leave would not go. Still, one reviewer recalls a woman in charge rearranging tables and chairs on a busy Friday night to fit a late booking of 10.

“We landed on a busy Friday night & spoke to a lady who appeared to be in charge, requesting if she could cater for a late booking of 10 people. Although nearly all tables were pre booked, she really went out of her way to accomodate us, rearranging tables/chairs. Excellent attitude and leadership, worthy of a mention.”
