Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is what most reviewers come for, with the lamb that fell off the bone, tender beef and a rich gravy, and perfectly cooked roast potatoes drawing the most praise. One returning visitor remembered the roast from the previous year and came back for it, and the desserts get a mention alongside it. Close behind are the drinks, with ciders, ales and Guinness, a good selection of beers, and tasty wine, plus a beef burger described as tender and juicy and a gnocchi dish called tasty if a little greasy. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, from the host's greeting to the bartenders, and a large group said every meal arrived quickly. Reviewers also like the cozy, warm feel and the outdoor seats overlooking Salisbury square. The one sharply negative review describes oven chicken with lettuce and a smashed pea and mint bruschetta on stale bread as overpriced, and says a house gin in a half pint glass was charged at a high price, with the waitress seeming embarrassed to serve the meal.

“We are here on a holiday. Last year we went here too and we remembered the Sunday roast because it was so delicous so we had to go there again when we came to England this year. It was so great and the desserts where perfect also. Nice and friendly staff and the space is also great! It has a great atmosphere”

“I was at the Ox Row Inn on a very sunny Friday evening and the outside area (maybe 20 tables) was completely full but there were lots of empty tables inside. I ordered a gnocci dish which was tasty albeit a little greasy. Prices were reasonable and service was good.”

“Had the beef burger and absolutely delicious, tender, juicy with amazing taste. Good size with enough portion of chips. Friendly staff with very decent atmosphere. For me the price was fine, not expensive but not cheap, worth the money.”
