  “During the dinner service, the restaurant was packed with diners. The waitress greeted us warmly, always wearing a cheerful smile. We ordered two portions of squid ink pasta, one pork belly, and one crab paccheri. Every dish was delicious, but the biggest surprise was the pork belly, its tangy sweetness made it especially appetizing.”

  “Restaurant closes at 10, but they accepted a booking for 9. And then from the moment we got there, they were rushing us. Food was good. But we needed help with a bottle of wine and the lady was very rude to begin with. Didn’t really know the prompt questions I usually get at other places to help us decide. During eating, the staff constantly came over to peer at our table to see if we had finished eating. This was not nice and not appreciated making us feel uncomfortable. Then didn’t bother to tell us that the kitchen was closing and if we wanted to make a last order. Like even pubs ring the bell for last order. Nice looking restaurant, food was ok, but we were very let down by the service of the staff. Don’t allow bookings at 9 if you can’t handle it or put in a warning. The night before we were at Mackerel Sky who don’t even have a reservation option and took us in and sat us down at 8.20 even though they close at 9. And provided a wonderful service. So reefandbeef was a big disappointment.”

  “We found this restaurant online and decided to visit because the menu had everything we were looking for — both fresh seafood and delicious meat dishes. The photos looked amazing, so we decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, we noticed how clean, well-maintained, and welcoming the place was. The portions were generous, the food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was full of flavour. The staff were very kind, friendly, and attentive, which made our experience even better. We didn’t know at first that the founders of this restaurant are also Moldovan, but we discovered it later, and it was such a pleasant surprise. In the end, we can truly say that this was one of the best and most delicious restaurants we have visited in this area. Thank you for the amazing food, the great service, and for creating such a wonderful place. We will definitely come back!”

  “Come here if you want proper food and want to stray away from the usual coastal cuisines - pasties, pub grub, chippies etc. We were welcomed by a lovely waitress - she was really passionate about explaining the dishes when we asked about the items on the menu and was up here and everywhere. Portion sizes were bang on the money - not too little but not too much. We went for the lunch 2 course menu which was very reasonably priced. X2 Calamari starters and I had pork croquettes - both so good, very generous with the calamari. Mains we got: Pork belly - very flavourful and very tender. Seafood linguine - big bowl, lobster sauce was so good. Finally the Rump steak - well worth the extra, in fact I regret not ordering this one. The Rump was ordered to be rare and RARE we got! Perfect sear and so juicy, never had a rump so juicy and that tasty. They knew what they were doing. XD There's definitely a reason why this place scored best steakhouse 2026 for St Ives. 100% recommend, could not fault this place one bit.”

  “The entrance it's hard to find as it's on the main road but you need to get down on stairs to find this hidden gem. Anca was incredibly professional and helped us to understand the menu and find the right choice for us. She saved the evening as 1st impression wasn't that welcoming when we arrived. This place has really good attention to detail, good food and they deserve the prize you'll see displayed on the walls. Two mains and two coffe latte for £58 with service charge included sounds good value in a great atmosphere and beautiful decorated restaurant. Definitely will come back again for another perfect stake and good drinks.”

  “Absolutely amazing service and i recommend the rump steak if going for the lunch meal! it was so tender and well cooked, very very impressed as i don’t usually go for steak in any restaurant but this one was a 10/10 and would definitely go for it if you are a steak lover! Waitress was really lovely too and we weren’t left waiting for long. She gave us good suggestions and was very friendly.”

  “A really nice restaurant, which might feel a little bit on the fancier side. We went there for dinner and had some steaks. They were tasty, but I wouldn’t say they were the best steaks I’ve ever had. I’d possibly go back to try other things in the future too, but I won’t be rushing back. The staff were super friendly, and the overall atmosphere was lively. It’s good for bigger parties too.”
