About Cintra Seafood Bar
Cintra Seafood Bar is a fish and seafood restaurant in Saint Ives, on The Wharf and facing the harbour. The menu is built around tapas-style small plates, and each dish comes in a small or large option, so a table can order several and share them. Crab nachos and mussels are among the seafood plates, and cod is cooked a few ways, including tempura. Breakfast is served until 11 am, with ham hock rosti and poached eggs on the morning menu. A banoffee dessert closes out the menu.

Customer Review Summary
Small plates shared tapas style are the draw, and the crab nachos and the mussels, described as juicy and plump in a delicious sauce, come up most among the dishes reviewers name. Cod (fried or in tempura), lemon sole, monkfish, oysters and carrots with harissa also earn praise, and the banoffee is close behind, with one reviewer calling it the best dessert they have had. Reviewers describe the seafood as fresh and the staff as friendly and prompt, and several mention outdoor tables overlooking the harbour. Breakfast gets a more mixed reception. The scrambled egg with smoked salmon on sourdough, the ham hock rosti and the cooked breakfast with hogs pudding are liked. One reviewer, though, found the granola bowl watery, with frozen fruit releasing its juice, and thought the 11 am breakfast cutoff too early. Several say the portions and value felt fair for the quality, and one table was brought a free crostini with a dip to start.

“Best meal so far on our southwest England roadtrip. Save room for dessert because the banoffe is the best dessert I’ve ever had. All the small plates are amazing, and the staff were so friendly”

“A bar in busy St.Ives in Cornwall, managed to get a table outside overlooking the harbour. Had drinks, cider and wine , both served really cold, decided to then eat and chose several "small bites" ( a la tapas) , got to say the food we had was excellent, price was good too , not ripping people off definitely worth a visit, I wish we were still on holiday so we could go again.”

“Facing out over the harbour this seafood restaurant has indoor and outdoor tables and seating. Despite being quite busy, even on a Monday lunchtime, we were attended to promptly and elected for an outdoor option. The service was very friendly, personable and prompt. The food was of excellent quality and delicious. I would strongly recommend this venue for lunch.”

“We visited Cintra Seafood Bar while on holiday in St Ives and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The location is fantastic, right next to the beach with outdoor seating and beautiful views across the bay. The menu is small and focused, which is always a good sign, and every dish we tried was absolutely packed with flavour. We had the crab nachos, sole fish , seafood broth, beetroot hummus, and cod and chips, oysters, and every single dish was excellent. The food looked amazing, tasted even better, and the portion sizes were very reasonable for the quality on offer. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic meal in a stunning setting. Great food, great service, and good value for the quality. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily return the next time we’re in St Ives.”

“we had breakfast. cintra breakfast (with eggs and bacon) was pretty good, i tried hogs pudding for the first time and i really liked it. the granola bowl wasnt very nice. the fruits were not fresh, they were frozen and released its juice. so it was very watery. also we had espresso martinis which were very delicious. also they stop serving breakfast at 11 am. its a bit early for my taste.”
