About Cork & Fork
From Unit 7B in Penzance, Cork & Fork is a seafood restaurant whose dining room looks across to St Michael's Mount, with Cornish lugger sails used as interior decoration. The kitchen works with freshly landed Newlyn fish, and a trio of fish plate gives a way to try several catches in one order. Half lobster is among the mains, and dessert includes a honey affogato served with honeycomb. The drinks list pairs the food with local wine and local craft beer on draught. Most of the menu can be made gluten free, and dairy free options are available for guests who need them.

Customer Review Summary
Mussels are the most repeated draw at Cork & Fork, described as tender, briny and the star of the meal, with one reviewer calling them the best they have had. Close behind are the scallops and pork belly starters, the freshly landed Newlyn fish trio, the lemon sole and half lobster, and crab pasta. Desserts earn their own praise, especially the honeycomb affogato and the cheesecake. Several reviewers mention gluten free options across much of the menu, and friendly, welcoming staff come up repeatedly, along with anniversary meals. Complaints are scattered but specific. One diner found cockles and crab claws bland, another said the cocktails were not very good and some draught specials were unavailable, and one felt the menu was inflexible when a request to add steak to the half lobster dish would have meant paying for both full meals. One reviewer called the prices not especially cost effective. One group arriving after 8:30 PM was seated for dinner and never rushed.

“Virtually everything on the menu can be made gluten free (actually the waitress said coeliac). The food was so delicious and there was a great range. Local produce was everywhere on the menu and the cheesecake… just wow.”

“We came here for seafood but the desserts won our hearts. Tried their seafood plank and mussels in cream sauce. To be honest, some seafood like cockles and crab claws taste bland. I like seafood fresh taste as their taste so shrimps, mussels and green salad are good. Then we ordered honey affogato and chocolate panache with raspberry sorbet. The former served with honey comb and espresso that are just right for the ice cream. Sweetness in chocolate and fruitiness in sorbet balance well. The signature reddish brown sail in Cornish luggers can be be as interior decoration.”

“We called in for an afternoon coffee and cake! Ended up crab cakes and mackerel pate instead! What a great taster just wish we had time to go back for an evening meal. With stunning views across the St Michael's Mount, was a great place to rest up”

“What a gem! Seafood cooked perfectly, fresh, and so tasty. The owner and front of house team were so welcoming, The trio of freshly-landed Newlyn fish was exceptional and the accompanying sauce to die for. The honeycomb affogato for dessert was very inventive. Would wholeheartedly recommend.”
