About St. Eia
St. Eia is a restaurant, liquor store, and wine bar on The Digey in Saint Ives, with the small plates and nibbles focus anchored by olives and backed by a long wine list featuring wine specials. The menu draws on dishes such as a chicken salad of a single chicken leg with leaves, a courgette and crab salad finished with a light pesto-style dressing, and mussels cleaned with care. The space sits near Porthmeor Beach and keeps things compact, with tables set in a small room, and dogs are welcome. The team gives grounded wine advice across the list.

“Delighful spot near Porthmeor Beach. Small but perfectly formed menu (and room) that lives up to a strong online reputation. The fresh-faced front of house team have the right blend of warmth, friendliness and professionalism, with well-judged attentiveness throughout. Eating alone, I was thoughtfully seated in the corner near the window, so I could face the room without being conspicuously solus. I didn't need help choosing from the menu but the advice I got on the wine special (an unusually intense Savignon Blanc) was spot on. Looking forward to returning to St. Eia with my partner on a future trip.”

“Exceptional experience, the quality of the food served is second to none, the care and attention of the servers and the atmosphere enhanced the evening to another level - then there is the wine! We've been to many restaurants in the area and would find it very difficult to match the meal we had tonight at St Eia.”

“Delicious food. Enough for me to come back for a second time during my holiday. May, my waitress remembered my preferences from my previous visit, making the experience even nicer. The courgette and crab salad is espectacular, has a light pesto-y dressing made of blended oregano that really packs a punch without overpowering the crab. The mussels and also delicious, immaculately cleaned and very juicy. Definitely a must.”

“Seriously?29 pounds for two pieces of chicken and 28 pounds for only a piece of fish😢. I can eat even three dishes by my self in this restaurant. Overpriced food but good taste.”

“St Eia was just around the corner from where we were staying, it had a nice feel to it with it's quaint tables and vast wine list. A place to go for some wine and nibbles. Our mistake was we went for dinner, but we're very surprised to find how expensive their dishes were and how little of food it was. The chicken salad was £24 which made us think this is going to be a sizeable salad. It came out in a bowl the size of a cereal bowl or dessert bowl with one leg of a small chicken and two handfuls of leaves. We were very surprised to say the least. All the plates were small portions and overpriced. All of them tasted good, but they really need to make the portions larger or reduce the price. If you are just going for wine and a nibble (like the olives) then it would be suitable, otherwise I would consider somewhere else for dinner. The staff were all very friendly and are knowledgeable in their wine varieties.”
