About The Balcony Bar & Kitchen
On The Wharf in Saint Ives, The Balcony Bar & Kitchen is a bar and grill where guests can watch the harbour waking up from the venue. The space works as a bar and grill, a breakfast and brunch restaurant, and a cafe, with a bar area where guests wait before being seated and window tables that frame the view. Dogs are welcome inside, and the menu covers the bar-and-grill range with milkshakes standing out as a recurring pick. Orders can arrive at the table with the food turning up ahead of the drinks. The format takes walk-ins across the day, from breakfast through to evening service.

“Good food with a view — if you're one of the lucky ones by the windows, which we were when a table of four became available after a few minutes of being sat by the bar and a staff member encouraged the move. The four of us were very happy with both the quality and quantity of our lunchtime meal. The only niggle was the number of dogs present. You're never certain of good hygiene with furry friends around. We had the busy but tranquil atmosphere spoilt by a yapping dog on a few occasions.”

“Honestly, I rarely leave reviews, this place was such a superb experience… the food was absolutely unreal, the place was full of happy families enjoying their experiences! But what really stood out for me which food places usually get wrong, that this venue nailed… was the staff work ethic. It was actually unreal to watch.. they were completely as busy as you could imagine, the girl who served me and my family (didn’t grab her name, absolute angel!). She explained I believe 3 staff members called in sick that day… well I wouldn’t have noticed they were absolutely everywhere, serving with a smile… they must have had clones hidden in the building ! 😂. Me, my partner and daughter were so glad we chose this place… when we go back to Cornwall this is top of our list to revisit.. thank you so much guys! Get in there now, it is amazing!!!!!!10/10”

“Ok let’s start with the negatives the food isn’t the best and it’s sometimes very busy. However, on the other hand, the milkshakes are a must have, you get served very quickly, and the staff are amazing especially Harriet. So I’m dedicating this next section to her. I was feeling very sick so I was allowed to skip the queue I was retching a lot and I think my period came. A nice lady let a member of staff know, and this was Harriet’s time to shine. Then my sister came in just as I was explaining where my family was located so my sis showed her the way and there was quick service here 2 and I got sorted out. So thanks to Harriet I had a nice day not just stuck on the toilet until they came into check at the end of the day. So if you see her please thank her for being amazing.”
