Quick info
About Sloop Inn
On The Wharf in Saint Ives, the Sloop Inn is a traditional pub that has been serving the harbourside for generations, with an attached bed and breakfast and breakfast service for guests. The bar runs onto an outside seating area that overlooks the wharf, and dogs are welcome inside. The pub is often extremely busy and crowded, particularly in warmer weather when the seafront fills up, though the team keeps service moving quickly even at peak times. Upstairs rooms let visitors stay on site and wake up to a breakfast in the morning. The setting puts the quay, beaches and town centre within a short walk.

“What a shame the Symons Family decided to accept the big American pay off. Should be ashamed letting themselves be bought so easily. The pub is now absolutely shocking with abrupt staff and poor standards. Typical of an ownership with zero links to Cornwall and so sad that this Iconic venue has gone downhill. If only people put good moral behaviour before money.”

“Excellent beer, friendly service, very busy thanks to it's great location.”

“Lovely pub and great atmosphere. The outside seating area is lovely but you do get the occasional waft of stale urine drifting through the seating area.”
- Andrew Mulholland
“Great traditional pub. Fast service even in a crowded popular pub. Can get extremely busy but service is still fast.”
