About Olive By Nicholas James
Olive By Nicholas James is a dining pub in Romsey, at 11 Latimer St, that serves breakfast as well as a full food menu. Customer Review Summary
One reviewer calls the mussels the best they have ever eaten, and others praise the food, atmosphere and friendly bar staff. One notes sitting outside for a beer after walking the dog. The main complaint is thin staffing at a Saturday lunch: a long wait for the drinks order, mains that took ages, and no staff seen afterward. One wanted more than baguettes on the bar menu.

“This is a well decorated place and could be a fantastic place but for there being little to no staff. Four of us for lunch on a Saturday,we were sat to the back of the restaurant the music was loud( asked to turn down which they did) but place was quiet. It took 20mins before we were asked for drinks order. We went straight to main course which took ages to come but the food was good and then our plates were taken and that was it, didnt see any staff again. We had to ask go ask for the bill . We were there 2 hrs we didnt have time for a dessert. Its such a shame but a couple more staff may make a big difference”

“Good service and pleasant surroundings. I've only given 3 for food as the bar menu only offers baguettes and tbh we would have preferred a choice of bread.”
