  “I just popped into this store for food, I guess it was 22:55. Your staff member on till didn't serve me! SAID we are close? As was coming out of door a couple walked in and they start taking their order? Why discrimination? You should treat every one same. "IF YOU ARE CLOSED, JUST LOCK YOUR DOOR"”

  “This place has been a favourite of mine for years but I won't come again after I've just left the worst burger I've ever tasted ridiculous amounts of sauce in it. Disgusting”

  “Staff are extremely rude and unprofessional I didn’t get to try the food as I decided to get a full refund as I did not want to eat food from someone that does not care about their customers 🤢 shocking service. Went to Monzanos instead and the staff are amazing in there. I won’t be returning to Roosters until they sort the staffing issues out.”

  “I recently ordered from Roster PERi-PERi and was quite disappointed with my experience. I got 2 PERi-PERi burgers meal and 1 chicken strips meal. The food was overcooked, and the burgers tasted dry. Considering the price, I expected better quality and value. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. They als take 30 minutes to make 2 burgers and chips. Maybe it was a one-off, but I wouldn't recommend it based on this visit.”

  “I lived in Reading for seven years, and Rooster Piri Piri has always been one of my personal favorites. From my very first year in the city, I fell in love with their grilled chicken wings. No matter what others might say, I’ve always enjoyed the flavors here. The Mexican-style seasoning is outstanding — full of spice and character — and the tangy, sour-and-spicy option is another one I particularly recommend. The taste is consistent, satisfying, and something I kept coming back for throughout my time in Reading. Now that I’ve left the city, this place will always be part of my fond memories. If you enjoy bold flavors and well-prepared grilled chicken, I would definitely recommend giving Rooster Piri Piri a try.”

  “The service of this place has REALLY GONE DOWNHILL. Been going here since 2017 and eating every now and then but visited them two days ago and got served by some Asian guy who clearly is either underpaid for the job or can’t be arsed. Taking incorrect orders, correcting them, not charging correctly, then demanding more payment, and the attitude of the guy was really stinking. I won’t be returning again, terrible service and terrible people, find food spots two minutes away, you have Mr Ts and Pepes.”

  “I usually come to Roosters Peri Peri in Reading for a chicken burger meal, but my experience today was really disappointing. I asked for raw onions in my burger, as I’ve had many times before, but the staff told me they can only do grilled onions now because the owner, Khalid, said so. This was the fourth time I’ve ordered the same burger with raw onions, so I don’t understand why the rules keep changing. The staff even told me that if I have an issue, I should write a review and the owner would get back to me — so here it is. This isn’t the first time I’ve had problems here. They used to put mayonnaise in their burgers, but now they’ve replaced it with Algerian sauce (which I really don’t like) and apparently don’t even stock mayonnaise anymore. So I have to eat my burger dry or skip it altogether. Today, I ended up walking out because every visit brings a new rule or change, and the staff just don’t seem happy or motivated to be there. Terrible customer service and no consistency at all. Very disappointing experience from what used to be a reliable spot.”

  “The food is consistently good. I always get a half chicken meal deal with peri fries and I have it hot as the sauce/marinade is very flavourful. It's a good price as well for such nice food. The atmosphere definitely lacks as it's mostly a takeaway place but has 2 booths and a few chairs to sit down if needed. In terms of services, they just inform us when the food is ready and you go up and collect it. Then when you're done you just empty the tray, like in fast food joints. So there isn't an element of service, which is perfectly fine for a place like this. Overall, great tasting chicken especially for the price point. Best for takeaway or delivery instead of eating in”
