  “Went here with my mum. It was our first time trying Korean food in another country. The hosts were very welcoming and warm. The chicken tang-sooyuk was a massive hit, we loved it. We also ordered the chicken bibimbap and prawn dumplings. All the dishes were good and it was overall a very memorable experience!”

  “My boyfriend and I started to come to this place for food when we first started dating and it's now been 2.5 years. We have always enjoyed the food and vibe here and shared this place with so many of our friends and family. Food is always very tasty and nice and fair priced and staff at restaurants are super attentive and friendly. Hygiene condition is excellent too. We really have special feelings about this place so we thought we should post our reviews and let more people in Reading see this gem :)”

  “My partner and I have visited this amazing restraunt probably 20 or more times, and we have only had great experiences. The food is fantastic, we usually get the small bbq platter and a couple starters or a main dish. The meats are marinated fantasticly, incredibly tender and flavourful, and the grill rarely gives us any issues with burning. I also highly reccomend the seafood and kimchi pancakes, as well as the various fried rice dishes and bibimbap for sure. The restraunt has a great atmosphere, hot and busy without ever being too loud to enjoy your food. And the staff are all lovely, especially the restraunt owners. They are accomodating and incredibly friendly. For example, they accidentally double booked our table once and we had to wait 20 minutes but they gave us free drinks while we waited so no complaints there! I cannot reccomend Gooi Nara enough! If you're ever near the Oracle in Reading, it's easily worth the 10-12 minute walk down the road for the best food you'll have in a long while.”

  “Heard great things, so finally made it. All the bbq meats, fish and veg were delicious as were side dishes. Will be back again very soon! Reasonable prices too with friendly service .”

  “We ordered a small assorted meats plate. The marinated meats are super tasty. I also like its tofu bibimbap with the Korean chili sauce, the taste is so right. Excellent service. We definitely will come back.”

  “2025/07 Absolutely loved this Korean restaurant! The food was delicious and full of authentic flavor, but what really stood out was the amazing service—the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The prices were very reasonable, and to top it off, they even gave us some fresh melon after the meal for free. Such a lovely touch! Will definitely be coming back.”
