Customer Review Summary
Complaints cluster around service and consistency. One reviewer waited a long time for food on two visits and felt the customer service was poor both times. Another found a delivery slow, the children's jollof too chilli, and the chicken and beef tough, with only two small pieces of beef in an expensive portion. A takeout goat asun arrived cold with a stale smell, though the jollof and swallow were fine. One reviewer said the beef suya tasted slightly fishy. A few reviewers added free plantain with their rice and peas.

“We had the pleasure of having Avila as the main caterer for our wedding, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The catering was handled with professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care. Communication throughout the planning process was clear and timely, and every detail was managed with confidence. On the day, the team arrived promptly, set up seamlessly, and delivered food that was beautifully presented, well‑seasoned, and consistently praised by guests. Dietary requirements were respected without compromise, and service ran smoothly from beginning to end.”

“The best Jollof rice I’ve had in a long time. Amazing beef suya.. but it tasted slightly fishy like it had been fried or grilled on the same grill/pan that fish was fried… so that’s the only thing, just better cleaning before making the suya… as I’m allergic to some fish. But the taste other than that was incredible.”

“We got here and we were welcomed warmly and given choices of drink before we ordered our food I’m happy to say the wait for the food was worth it the food was amazingly delicious, the snail was to die for, egusi was really flavourful probably the best I’ve tasted and the ogbono was great, it was during a heatwave a fan was provided and I’m glad to say we enjoyed the background music. Totally recommend you check it out. We ordered puff puff for takeaway to be reviewed.”

“I have gone to Avilah 2 times now, the food is very nice but the customer service was not good both times maybe because I am not Nigerian I don't know. The first time I didn't leave a review because I wanted to try again and this happened the 2nd time with different people. Anyways the place is nice and clean both times I've been. The food takes quite a long time to be served. it's a great idea to keep updating your customers on their orders. I will probably try 1 more time and that would be it. At the moment I wouldn't recommend this restaurants to friends unless the customer service has changed. The food is definitely 10/10.”
