About Saucier Pasta
Saucier Pasta is an Italian restaurant in Preston's flag market, at 17-19 Market St, where everything is made fresh on the premises in an open kitchen. The menu is small and built as plates to share, with starters, bread and olives, pasta dishes and sandwiches. Focaccia is a regular starter, and the pistachio pesto pasta sits among the pasta dishes. Tiramisu is on the dessert side. Seating is counter-style at the bar and around the rear of the dining room, and a shared table in the middle seats 6. The restaurant is open every day except Wednesdays and Thursdays, when it is closed.

“What a great asset this is to the food scene of Preston. We came for our first time tonight and loved all that this little gem has to offer. Loved the idea of plates to share with a small but thought out menu of authentic, wholesome Italian dishes. The staff were attentive and cheerful and although it's a small restaurant we felt no pressure to be in and out. And as for the tiramisu, we'll be dreaming of that for a long time to come. Can't wait to return :)”

“We came to Saucier for my wife's birthday not knowing exactly what to expect. When we arrived we ended up sitting on the shared table in the middle which at first seemed daunting, but it was actually a great experience and we got talking to everyone else which created a great vibe Then came the food, a small menu but that's what we liked about it. We shared 2 starters, 4 plates of pasta (we were hungry) and a dessert each and every single mouthful was amazing. The nduja bake and pistachio pasta were my standouts but would eat it all again without hesitation! There is a reason why they have won so many awards already. If you are in two minds about going, get it booked, you won't regret it!”

“Ate here tonight for the first time, and it won't be the last. Incredibly good pasta dishes, done the authentically Italian way (simple, clean flavours... not drowning in sauce, just enough accompaniment to make the pasta sing). Also, that tiramisu 😮 I'll be thinking about it for days. Service also brilliant.”

“First visit to this little gem of a restaurant in Preston today and can highly recommend it if you love pasta , Italian food or just great food. Super-fresh, top notch ingredients and cooked very skilfully, all made on the premises. The team there could not have been more welcoming or lovely to us. We also thought the prices, especially for the quality of the food and service were really reasonable. Best to reserve as it’s a small place, though you might get lucky if you are passing by. You absolutely should go- we are trying to figure out how soon we can go back.”

“Unbelievably good. Food is rich and unreasonably moorish. It's not fair. Why is it that delicious? Wrong, if you ask me. Starters were lovely, mains were sensational. Desert was the best tiramisu that I've ever eaten by a large margin. Loved it. Would recommend to anyone who has a mouth.”

Customer Review Summary
The tiramisu is what reviewers raise most, repeatedly calling it the best they have eaten and describing it as light and airy. Close behind are the focaccia and the pistachio pasta, with the nduja pasta, an nduja bake, and a short rib beef ragu also singled out, plus the olives and a pistachio cannoli. Diners describe the pasta as authentically Italian, with simple, clean flavours and not drowning in sauce, all made fresh in an open kitchen. Prices are called reasonable, and the service is described as attentive and not rushed. The small shared-plates menu and the homely, welcoming room earn praise too. Because the place is small and most seating is at counter-style tables, a few reviewers suggest reserving. One family says staff happily booked a table when they called and noted a child was coming. A couple found the shared middle table daunting at first, then ended up chatting with the other diners.
