Quick info
About Il Gusto d'Italia
Il Gusto d'Italia is an Italian restaurant on Water Lane in Preston, set in a town-centre spot a short walk from the main streets. The kitchen covers Italian cooking, and a thin gluten-free pizza base is available alongside the standard menu. Cocktails are served at the table with the food. The dining room hosts children's parties and accommodates meal-time bookings, and counter service takes walk-ins when space allows. Orders at booked tables have, on visits, been delayed by around fifteen minutes before being taken, which is worth factoring in when timing a meal. The room runs as an evening restaurant and works for both casual drop-ins and reserved group nights.

“I have to say that this is the best Italian restaurant in Preston, the service was excellent and the food was 10/10… also cocktails!!”

“Gluten free base very thin and hard. Chips very hard and thin. Staff friendly. However, I finished my meal and had 2 drinks and was slowly drinking and on my phone the bar lady and all the waiters kept looking at me. This has never happened ever in any resturant for staff to constantly look at you. I felt they wanted me to leave. I then got an icecream as I was waiting for my food digest and then left.”

“Been to the restaurant a number of times, always ok, this time disappointing, food ok, service poor. A party of six, booked our meal for 7.15pm, at approximately 8.00pm we asked for a waiter to take our order, 15 minutes later order taken, when food arrived just about ok, not a place we will revisit.”
