About Haighton Manor
Haighton Manor is a country pub in Preston on Haighton Green Ln, set in a building that was once a hospital. Its garden room looks out over views that were meant to lift the spirits of patients convalescing there. Inside, an open log fire sits in the centre of the traditional-decor pub. A big bar serves local ales alongside a collection of whiskies and gins. The kitchen cooks a Sunday roast with beef, lamb or pork, and the menu runs from starters to desserts, with gluten-free options and a Christmas menu. A smaller dessert portion comes with a hot drink of choice. Service is at the table, and booking is made in advance. The pub is open daily and has overnight accommodation with breakfast.

Customer Review Summary
Diners return most for the Sunday roast, with lamb and beef both singled out. One reviewer says the lamb fell off the bone, and another describes a Sunday beef roast that won them back after an earlier disappointing visit. Starters, a steak sandwich and a Christmas menu also draw praise, and one reviewer calls the gluten-free options exceptional. Several mention the hot drink paired with a smaller dessert. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, and the conservatory-style room, open log fire and gardens come up as favourites. One reviewer found the meals a little pricey but felt the food justified it, and another who stayed overnight describes a spotless room and a delicious breakfast. The one real complaint comes from a regular, who says a server muttered "cheap skates" after the tip was left on a Sunday visit, though they still rated the food and other staff as wonderful.

“Had a lovely meal with my cousin and her husband. They were part way through a long journey home and I arranged to meet them at Haighton Manor as it worked for us all. The menu enabled them to have something light to eat in a relaxed setting. My steak sandwich was yummy, and they had a starter each which they enjoyed. They also really liked the hot drink and mini dessert option. Food here is always good and high quality and the service was attentive without being overbearing.”

“We absolutely love coming to Haighton Manor! The food, staff and everything is always 5 stars! We want to give a special shout out to two members of staff, Josh who was on the bar, he greeted us, served our drinks at took us to our table, he was fantastic! He told us it was his first shift and we would have never of known! A lovely girl looked after us whilst we ate, we didn't get her name but she had curly blonde hair and she was so lovely, chatty and made us laugh and feel so welcome! We can't wait to come back!”

“For many years our pub was used as a hospital and the beautiful views that you can now enjoy from our garden room, helped to lift the spirits of those convalescing. Now the building has been lovingly transformed into what you see today, a country pub bursting with character and original features with a big old bar at the heart of all things, serving local ales and packed with our collection of whiskies and gins. We have a mixture of rooms to suit your mood, light and airy or snug and ‚Äòbeamed‚Äô with roaring fires, we even have a beautiful terrace just in case the sun shines on us.”
