About The Moorbrook
The Moorbrook is a pub and pizza spot on North Road in Preston, with a visible wood-fired oven turning out pizzas alongside the bar's cask and keg ales. The kitchen runs from sausage rolls and scotch eggs through to house-made loaded fries, and a large vegetarian selection runs alongside the pizzas. Inside, original features frame snug seating opposite the bar, and events are advertised on the wall. Outside, the beer garden holds a pool table in one area and ping-pong in another, with half the seating covered for use in poor weather. Dogs are welcome. Service is walk-in, and the room fills at busy times.

Customer Review Summary
Wood oven pizza is what reviewers return for most, with one calling it the best they've had and another noting the pizzas are fresh-cooked and good value. Close behind are the cask ales and kegs, including a 7% dark beer likened to a plate of Jammie Dodgers. Sausage rolls, scotch eggs and loaded fries also get praise, though one finds the burger more average than the house made fries.

“What a fabulous pub. The ales are always top class and the sausage rolls, scotch eggs and pizzas are all recommended too. One of the best pubs.”

“Fabulous old style pub. The frontage doesn’t do justice to what you will find inside, including a great half covered outside space. Top wood oven pizzas + loaded fries and more.( sausage rolls 😘)”

“Beautiful pub with friendly staff and friendly local patrons. Really tasty fresh-cooked pizzas at very good value - we could watch the pizza oven from the perch we chose outside. Surprisingly large vegetarian selection on the menu for a venue this size. Lively but not crowded beer garden with a pool table and ping pong table each in separate areas, and more seating under cover outside. Well-stocked bar with wide selection of interesting cask and keg beers. We went on a Thursday so unsure how busy on a peak day but we had no trouble finding a seat. Beautiful original features inside with snug areas opposite the bar as well as the bar seating. Events are advertised on the wall inside. There is some piped music but this is largely unobtrusive - jazzier and mellower than what they play outside but it's not too loud in either area and we had no trouble at all holding a conversation. We would be very happy to come back if we were in the area again. We walked from accommodation next door, so don't know about the parking situation, but there is a large paid car park very close by.”

“They've got a good selection of cask ales plus some more choices of kegs. The pizza is good, the burger is more average but with good house made fries. Authentic pub atmosphere.”

“Outstanding Real Beer pub. Good range of brews and alcohol levels from mild thru to Rocket fuel! I like my dark beer and the one I tried was like a plate of Jammie dodgers in a pint glass. At 7% vicious AND delicious!”
