Customer Review Summary

Diners most often praise the food, with the sweet and sour chicken and chilli chicken chow mein named as favourites, the latter flagged as hot for anyone who dislikes spice. Reviewers also describe huge dishes, massive cocktails and meat that one visitor singles out. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and one parent notes a warm welcome despite a big pram. Close behind is slow service, the most recurring complaint. Several say they were seated well after their booking while waiting in a hot, over-crowded upstairs bar, and others report drinks being forgotten or an order taking far too long to be taken. One party says they left without being served food and told staff why. A few find the prices high, noting that many mains come without sides. Another reviewer found the music deafening, with heavy bass that did not suit the families and middle-aged crowd. Views get a mention as a plus. One reviewer describes a staff member dropping cutlery and then food onto a diner at their table.

“Very disappointed - this used to be a regular spot for us to come with friends and family for dinner and drinks and to make a night of it, where a good night was always had. We hadn’t been back since covid so thought we would go again for dinner before picking children up. Booked a table for 1930, when we arrived we were told table wasn’t ready and to go up for a drink (although the Restaraunt was only half full) Went upstairs and waiting 10 mins at the bar which again was only half full, for a pint and a coke for the price of £10.90 As we were served we were called as our table was ready, seated at 1940, ordered food and asked about when are food would be ready a couple of times from 2000 onwards, ended up leaving at 2025 after no one got back to us, we did have the decency to inform them we were leaving though and the reasons behind it. I would like to say it was an isolated incident but there were tables around us that had been waiting for long periods of time as well. A shame as it used to be such a good spot, I would hate to think what it is like when it is busy”

“Just ok. Food is good but not amazing. The service was friendly but very slow. I don’t think the price is justified for what you get. Views are good tho”

“We were seated 40 minutes after our booking time, spending that time in the hot and over-crowded bar upstairs. Then we waited a further 20 minutes before our order was taken. The food was good and the servers were friendly, but that length of a wait is unacceptable. The crowd was weird. I won't ever visit here again.”

“Amazing food, great food & atmosphere, lovely wine, however once we were shown to our table the level of service was poor, 20 mins to take an order & drinks were forgotten about.”

“I loved the food and staff are delightful but the music was awful... maybe I'm too old but it was deafening and not chill music. The clientele were middle aged or families so weren't interested in disco music with a heavy base. If the music had been different it would have been perfect!”
