About Porkies Cafe
Porkies Cafe is a family-run cafe on Whitleigh Green in Plymouth, serving cooked breakfasts through the day and raising funds for the local area alongside the food it puts out. Breakfasts run to large full plates with fried bread and toast, and a breakfast baguette comes filled with sausages, bacon, egg and mushrooms. Tea arrives in big mugs. Seating is ample, and there is no booking system, so customers simply walk in and order. Outdoor tables give the option of eating in the open air, and high chairs make room for families with young children. A step-free entrance and handrails to the toilet keep the cafe usable for visitors with mobility needs. Dogs are welcome, service dogs included. The kitchen works Monday to Saturday during the daytime, with Sundays closed. Customers travel in from other parts of Plymouth to eat here.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the breakfast, with the breakfast baguette of three sausages, bacon, egg and mushrooms singled out as very good value, and a pair of huge breakfasts with drinks and toast described as coming in under a modest total. Big mugs of tea come up close behind, along with the fried bread that one reviewer enjoyed. Staff are the other constant, described as friendly, kind, welcoming and up beat, and several point to a family run, community atmosphere where the team is always fundraising for local people. One reviewer travels from the other side of Plymouth to eat here, and another notes a service dog was welcomed. The complaints are small and about taste. One reviewer did not like the brown sauce, and another did not care for the fried bread, though both framed it as personal preference. Another reviewer says the place is always busy, and one reports leaving feeling recharged and ready for the day.
