About Reservoir Café
Reservoir Café is a vegetarian cafe in Plymouth, on the first floor of the Nancy Astor Sports Centre on Drake's Circus. It sits on the University campus, with vegan options on the menu and breakfast and lunch as its focus. Its windows look over the restored Drake's Reservoir and a fountain. Coffee comes with a chocolate slice with coconut, and the oat hot chocolate pairs with a brownie. Pizza is served when available. Food goes out in brown paper bags and paper cups, and self-service recycling bins handle the waste. The cafe opens Monday to Friday during the daytime and closes on Saturdays and Sundays. Too Good To Go bags are also offered.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly staff and the coffee, which one calls exceptional and others call tasty or great. Food comes next, with the pizza recommended by one reviewer when it is available, plus a brownie with oat hot chocolate and a chocolate slice with coconut. One describes a Too Good To Go order that came with loads of food. The location beside Drake's Reservoir draws repeated praise, with a lovely view of the fountain, outdoor seating, and one reviewer who calls it lovely even in winter. Others describe fast service at busy times, good portion sizes, and a spot suited to meeting colleagues or a lecturer. The caveats are mixed. One reviewer found the chap serving abrasive and rude on an open day, one says it gets too noisy for quiet conversation when full, and one found the brownie and drink kind of expensive, with food in paper bags and cups giving canteen vibes. Self service recycling bins for waste are noted by a regular.

“I came here for the first time, and it was pretty good. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, this is probably your place. It did give me canteen vibes as you are eating out of a brown paper bag or paper cup, but everything was still quite nice! I had an oat hot chocolate and brownie which came to £5.25 which is kind of expensive but not horrible. Everything was clean and tidy, and the whole place looks really nice as well!”

“Came here on a university open day. Nice cafe however the chap serving was abrasive and rude. If you don’t like people I’d suggest you would be happier taking another career.”
