About The Park Pavilion Café
Set inside Victoria Park, The Park Pavilion Café is a daytime café serving breakfast and lunch to walk-in customers, with no bookings taken. The breakfast list includes the Prince Albert, a double-everything version of the full fry-up for bigger appetites, alongside coffee, tea and a selection of cakes. Seating runs both indoors and outside on the patio, which faces the children's play area and gives the option of eating in the open air. Orders are placed at the counter and brought out to the table by the team. High chairs and baby changing facilities in the toilet suit families with young children, and a step-free entrance means visitors with mobility needs can get in without steps. Well behaved dogs are welcome, indoors as well as out. Food to take away is packed into disposable boxes for eating elsewhere in the park. The café opens daily during the day.

Customer Review Summary
Complaints are sharper than the praise is frequent. One reviewer says a staff member kept chatting with an acquaintance while customers waited to buy drinks, and describes a dirty floor and a drinks fridge that smelled unclean. Another calls the staff grumpy and rude, with no please or thank you even when taking payment. A parent found the toilet's only bin, a tiny pedal bin that also serves for nappies, overflowing.

“On a damp November day this cafe was a welcome stop for a light lunch in the park. Panini and a cuppa served promptly.”
- Steve Reed
“The staff leave a lot to be desired, very grumpy none talkative and to be honest damn right rude. Everything was an effort even taking the money with no please or thank you. I've seen more enthusiasm on a plant trying to grow in the desert without water”
- Victoria Timberlake
“Member of staff ignored us stood waiting to buy some drinks until someone she knew came in then started having a chat to them about what they wanted to order. Place was filthy, obviously not seen a brush in a while and the drinks fridge smelt like he had never been cleaned. First and last visit. We put the drinks back and walked out.”

“Love this little cafe. They have a fairly extensive menu. Food is nice, generous portions. Staff seem friendly and professional. Look forward to frequent visits in the summer!”
