Customer Review Summary
Hotpot is the draw reviewers raise most, an all you can eat format with plenty of meats and vegetables, where staff explain the process and guide first timers through the meal. Close behind is the authentic Szechuan cooking, described as freshly cooked, rich, zingy and tasty, with large portions and good value. A vegetarian found plenty of options, and a self-described picky eater was happy with egg fried rice, noodles and curry sauce. Reviewers repeatedly call the staff lovely, welcoming and quick, and one notes the room is quite small. Criticism is limited but specific. One diner found the beef slices quite fat and noted most of the included drinks were zero or diet, while another called the food bland, unfresh and more like junk food. One reviewer cautions that the spicy dishes are very spicy. Some return regularly, one after travelling over an hour, and delivery gets a mention too. One reviewer recalls a new pair of chopsticks arriving within seconds and an apron appearing for a diner struggling with the soup.

“Amazing food. Lots of it too for a good price. Quality is there, authentic and great staff. I’m quite picky and usually just have egg fried rice, curry sauce, noodles etc and everything was delicious. Couldn’t recommend more.”

“Everyone has that one special spot, and for me, Jin Jin is that place. I absolutely adore this restaurant. I come here all the time, I’ve brought the people closest to me here, and I also love ordering delivery from them. The food is amazing, the service is always fast and pleasant, and the atmosphere inside is great. Everything I’ve tried has been excellent, but if you’re not sure what to order, go for the hot pot with a friend. It’s such a good experience. Also, if you’re ordering delivery, I’d recommend ordering directly through their website rather than using other apps. Easily 5 stars in every category.”

“Best Chinese restaurant food I have ever had. One of our favourite restaurants. One we return to regularly. The food is freshly cooked and delicious and the staff are lovely, always welcoming and attentive. It is quite small though, so although we have always managed to just walk in early in the evening, later arrivals or larger groups would probably be wise to book in advance.”

“For the all you can eat buffet of £25, it is definitely worth it, quite a lot of choices of meats and vegetables. They include drinks but most of the drinks were Zero or Diet. Food was ordered and brought to us quickly. The beef slices served was quite fat, a bit sick of it after eating some of it.”

“The food tasted really bland and unfresh, it was really disappointing given that it is loved by locals. This is more junk food”
