Customer Review Summary
Burgers are what reviewers praise most, with one visitor calling them great alongside delicious fries and another suggesting the burgers and the salad, which was beautifully presented. Close behind is the friendly, quick service at the bar and tables, with several singling out individual staff for efficiency during busy periods. Diners also mention the outdoor seating under umbrellas, small beer gardens front and back, and plenty of TVs for live sports, including booths in the back garden. The recurring complaint is front-of-house attitude. Two lunch visitors say the food was well cooked but the drink and food offer was not clearly explained, so they paid full price, and both describe the cutlery pot being banged down and a sarcastic "Bye then" on leaving. Another reviewer was refused a replacement for a cider glass they said had dry water stains, and called the food average pub fare. One notes that ordering is done independently by QR code at the table.

“Nice little local pub with plenty of TVs for the live sports. I didn't eat the food, but it looked decent. Staff were friendly and they have small beer gardens out the front and back. The one at the back has cool little booths with TVs for watching the sport.”

“Only had a beer. It was around 1pm. Very quiet. The menu looked interesting and average price for the area. Staff were friendly”

“Five stars without a doubt! The food and atmosphere here are fantastic, but what really made our evening was the exceptional service from Kelly. She really pushed the boat out to make sure we felt completely taken care of. From the catch of our appetizer orders right through to the finish of our desserts, her timing and balance were impeccable. She more than pulled her weight, effortlessly steering us toward the best local beers on tap. It’s rare to find someone who navigates a hectic dinner rush with such smooth recovery and positive drive. Her menu recommendations were an absolute stroke of genius! If you're looking for a great night out with top-tier service, ask for Kelly. We will definitely be back!”

“Bad Customer service. Of all the places we visited in Oxford and greater area this was the the only but therefore really bad customer service experience we had. We came in and ordered via the QR Code on the table. Ordered food and drinks. One Cider was ordered so we got the cider bottle and an empty glass filled with ice. Problem was that the glass was clearly not used in a while and full of dry water stains. So I went to the bar and asked for a clean glass as i showed the lady the glass we got. She simply said NO - we wont get a new glass as this is clean and its just dry water stains nohting to worry about. So i get the glass back to my table, took a cleaning cloth out of our bag to just clearify that it was also dusty and a bit dirty as the cloth was slightly brown after using it. So i went to the second lady that was working that evening at the bar and asked kindly again for a new glass. All they did was putting the same glass under the water, as we could see it was just a bit better cleaned afterwards but the same glass. Unfortunately we already had ordered food as well and paid for it, so we waited for that and then went out. Food was average Pub food - not bad - but nothing special. After all if its 2 persons working behind the Bar - and we were next to 3 other guests inside and a few outside the only guests there - this is really sad. I mean come on. You have plenty of glasses there. But they decided to be that way and neeldess to say there was no goodbye or thank you after we went out.”
