Quick info
About The Royal Blenheim
The Royal Blenheim is a 19th-century pub on Saint Ebbe's St in Oxford, with a tiled floor underfoot. The bar pours cask ales from Titanic Brewery alongside other guest cask ales, and keg and nitro beers fill out the range. Beer flights let drinkers try several pours in one order. Bar snacks include pork pies, scotch eggs and samosas. Board games are available at the tables, and a TV shows football, racing and other sport. The pub is walk-in, so there is no booking to make. A blackboard by the bar lists current offers and notices of upcoming beers.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return mostly for the cask ales, especially the range from Titanic, which several describe as exceptionally well kept. Close behind are the keg and nitro beers, guest casks, and beer flights, with one reviewer calling it the best pub in Oxford for beer enthusiasts. Others single out a plum porter ale described as light in taste. The atmosphere draws words like traditional, calm, and cozy, and reviewers mention board games, sport on the television, and a Sunday afternoon of folk music. Staff are called friendly, welcoming, and ready to recommend drinks. Food is limited to classic bar snacks such as pork pies, scotch eggs, sausage rolls, and samosas, and one reviewer says they don't think the pub does food at all. A quieter view comes from one reviewer who found the decor enjoyable but the atmosphere lacking on a Tuesday afternoon, with the server efficient but not especially welcoming. Another notes it can get busy in the evening. One reviewer finished with thanks to the host for looking after their group after the Oxford Half Marathon.

“Proper llittle pub in the heart of Oxford. Fantastic selection of ales & lagers at great prices. Really love the atmosphere in here gives you that traditional pub vibe. I only gave 2 stars for food as I don't think they do food but you can get your traditional bar snacks. Highly recommend stopping here for a drink or two.”

“Lovely old pub down a lane from the main street. Full range of cask ales, many from Titanic. Plus other well curated cask beers. Interesting selection of keg beers and notices of which beers to be made available soon. Food is classic - pork pies, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and samosas. Nice, contemporary feel inside, space to stand outside. Very efficient service and very welcoming. Highly recommended”

“Several visits over the weekend. An extensive selection of Titanic cask ales and keg/nitro beers, plus a decent choice of guest casks. Beer flights too! Music other Sunday afternoon was excellent with traditional folk music. My favourite pub in Oxford.”

“Oxford has many great pubs, but if you’re a beer enthusiast, this is by far the best one! The cask ale selection is exquisite (not just Titanic, which in itself has a great range) but keg is pretty great as well. In addition, it’s a great place to watch sports. Decent prices as well!”

“Went for a drink after dinner in here. Quite spacious with nice staff who will help recommend drinks to have if you have no clue what you want. They have board games you can play there. Can be busy in the evening but still a nice place to spend your time at. Either on your own or in a pair or in a group.”
