Club 99 bar & grill is a sports bar and restaurant in Oldbury, on Tat Bank Rd, that has been refurbished and also includes a function hall. The kitchen cooks an Indian menu of curries, biryani and butter chicken, with naan baked in the tandoor. Poppadoms come with a bowl of sauces and chutneys for dipping. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the Indian food, and the mixed grill comes up repeatedly, with one calling a large one enough for three people. Close behind are the curries and sides: chicken biryani, gobi manchurian, keema peas, butter chicken, a sag and mushroom bhuna, clay pots, and naan described as hot and crispy from the tandoor. One diner praises a big bowl of sauces and chutneys with the poppadoms and a curry that isn't watery. Several mention fair prices, good portions and quick service, and a long-time regular says the dishes have stayed consistent over seven years. The big screens showing live sport, the pool tournaments and the outdoor area with TVs and fairy lights round out the draw. The one critical review says a recent visit fell short of earlier ones, with food that didn't taste good and wasn't made as instructed, though the staff were polite and the family lounge was nice. Another group who walked in without booking were still given a table, and the chef made one diner a special bhuna.

“One of the best Indian food I’ve had in the midlands. The food was authentic and delicious. And service was top notch. I would highly recommend the chicken Briyani and the gobi manchurian. The naan was also extremely hot and crispy - fresh from the tandoor. Highly recommend this place!”

“Been to alot of the bar and grills local to this and club 99 has became our favourite, mixed grill is always on point & never had a bad curry good consistency (not watery like others) and if you enjoy a good variety of sauces with ya poppadoms this place is the one 4 big bowl of different sauces/chutneys & everything is fairly priced not too expensive 👌”

“Have been going here every year for the last 7 years, it has remained consistent, good prices with authentic and flavourful dishes. The staples I go for are the keema peas, butter chicken, mix grill and biryani, and they never miss. This year the Tikka rice was recommended and it was delicious! My favourite go to Indian cuisine in the West Mids.”
