Customer Review Summary
Yogurt chat bombs are what reviewers raise most, and several name them a favourite, though one notes they come in a set of 5, leaving couples arguing over the last one. Close behind are the butter chicken with paratha and basmati rice, the Diwali Cauliflower, the Monkey Wrap and the Gunpowder Chicken Wings, with a chicken biryani topped with crispy onions also praised. Gulab jamun is a common finish. Service is called friendly and efficient, and children enjoyed the swings, though one reviewer finds the swing chair's chains noisy. The complaints are specific. One diner found portions small, a potato dish in treacle extremely sweet, and felt staff subtly added a bottled water charge when asking about water for the table. Another had a friend's biryani with hardly any sauce sent back, described young staff with little communication, and waited a while for a pre-booked table. Others call portions generous. One diner who likes heat was brought a bowl of fresh chillies and chilli oil.

“Despite the beautiful look from the exterior, the dinner experience was far from expected. The portion size for each dish was very poor but still expensive. The taste of each dish was acceptable but far from the quality that I expected. The best dish was potato covered in treacle which made it extremely sweet which is a poor excuse for a well made dish. Staff were friendly but subtlety charge you for a glass bottle of water when asking if you want water for the table.”

“Mowgli Street Food has a lot to recommend it! The food is fantastic (so good that by the time I thought to take a picture, it was mostly gone), and the service is also impeccable. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. Strongly recommend the Chat Bombs, the Gunpowder Chicken Wings, the Monkey Wrap, and the Angry Bird.”

“Having previously been to Mowgli restaurants in other cities, we already knew our way around the Mowgli menu…and have our favourites one of which is the yogurt chat bomb…very nice! Although these are still served in a set of 5, which means that if you are a couple (or two couples etc) there is an uneven split…please adjust the serving to 6, even if it means slightly reducing their size! Apart from the argument about who got the lsst chat bomb, we had another lovely meal. Good service. Good atmosphere. Tip: 1x yogurt chat bomb, 1x monkey wrap and 2x curry dishes, plus 1x rice makes a very satisfying meal for two…leaving room for a delicious gulab jamun pudding if you have a sweet tooth and like to settle any heat in your mouth.”

“We sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The prices seemed really reasonable so I was worried I would not get enough food, but I was wrong! The portions were generous and the food was delicious. The boxes were adorable too. I didn’t need it, but they offered vegan and gluten free menus as well.”

“Food is fantastic! Most food is moderately spiced but I like it hot so they brought me a bowl of fresh chilli's plus some 🌶 oil. Food is really tasty though a friend had the biryani which hardly had any sauce and sent it back. Service not great, all youngsters and not much communication going off. Took a while to get our pre-booked table but once there the night went well. Love all the gold glitziness around, it makes you feel somewhere special.”

“Mowgli is all about how Indians eat at home and on their streets. She was born to feed the raw need Indians have for tiffins full of fresh bright intense flavour. Mowgli is not about the intimate, hushed dining experience. It is about the smash and grab zing of healthy, light, virtuosic herbs and spices. The simple dishes of a Mowgli menu are a million miles away from the curry stereotype. These dishes convey the truth that real Indian food is extremely healthy, often vegan and always packed with fresh flavour.”
