  “Ive purchased a takeaway coffee from here a few times but yesterday the wife and I decided to go for a late lunch. The service was friendly and slick. The coffee was on point and the grub was just fantastic. Will definitely be calling back again soon.”

  “First time in the den, and the food was amazing but even me being greedy 🙄 the portion sizes are big very big well the open prawn plate was so full it was hard to manoeuvre stuff around The only thing I could criticise is amount of sauces in the pasta and coleslaw, half the amount would have been much nicer I know this sounds bad but it isn’t just an observation. Coffee was lovely and the surroundings very upmarket for a place in the industrial estate Would I go again without reservation”

  “What has happened at the foxes den? Once a consistently good favourite, I have been twice in the last month (including today) and things seem to have slipped massively. I was there just over 2 weeks ago on a saturday. Our tea was very slow to come out, the waiter apologised and said they'd to wash some more tea pots, fine. When it arrived, my cup was dirty, but my food was there so I went ahead with it. Ordered further tea after, it came with a fresh cup (dirty) and a plastic spoon. I was assuming maybe the dishwasher had broken that day, so gave a bi-ball. Also - why does shortbread not come with the hot drinks anymore? Was always a delight. Returned today and 3 of the choices on the menu were unavailable for my dad. (We had only been informed 1 thing was off the menu when seated). Service today also particularly slow. I write this review in the hopes things can be turned round. The foxes den has been a favourite of friends and family for some years now. I'm not sure what has occurred, but there has been a noticeable slip.”

  “I agree with many of the other reviews regarding The Fox's Den in terms of food quality, cleanliness, and generally friendly staff. The food was tasty, well presented, and the portions were generous. However, on this visit, the service fell short in one key area. We were seated and served drinks promptly, and our food arrived without much delay. Everything was going well up to that point. Once we had finished our meals and our plates were cleared, though, we were essentially left unattended. Despite staff being gathered at the counter and repeatedly looking in our direction, no one came over to offer further service. We were hoping to order coffee, but after waiting and not being approached, we eventually gave up. Staff only seemed to attend tables for seating, serving, or clearing, without checking back in afterward. It’s a shame, because the food and initial service were very good, but the lack of follow-up at the end of the visit left a disappointing impression.”

  “One word - superb! Great choice on menu, a bonus that it’s an all day menu and the vegetarian in our party was very well catered for too. Lovely staff, delicious great quality food and large portions. Coffee and milkshakes were also fab. Would definitely recommend whether it’s for a meal or a coffee stop with a light bite/sweet treat, and will most definitely be back soon. Thank you Foxes Den for a really enjoyable lunch! 👌🫶”

  “Upon our arrival, we were allocated a rather small table situated in a corner, where we were consistently exposed to a cold draft due to the frequent opening of the entrance. We proceeded to place our order, but noted a lack of attentiveness from the waitress. Our beverages were subsequently delivered, however, my teapot was only half full. I brought this to the waitress's attention, which she seemed to find inconvenient, and no apology was offered. Our food then arrived; the portion sizes are definitely not what they used to be. Furthermore, my poached eggs were unfortunately hard and cold, which is a fundamental error in preparation. When settling the bill, I was surprised by the total amount. The waitress avoided eye contact and struggled to operate the till with one hand, as she did not put down her serving tray. We departed without receiving any acknowledgment or thanks. It is clear that we will not be returning to this establishment.”

  “Amazing restaurant. Quiet busy especially during afternoons so make sure to do a booking or go earlier. The service is good. The food is amazing. The ambience is quiet good. Special mention to the mocha which tasted really good than normal mochas u get in other restaurant or cafes. The brekkie is a good choice to have. Quiet filling. Got options for kids as well.”

  “Quite possibly the best café in NI. It was unusually busy for a Thursday afternoon, so there was a short wait (10~ mins?). There are chairs to sit in while you wait however, which was nice. The staff were lovely. The food was divine. I had the fox fry. The sausages were delicious. The eggs were fluffy and smooth. The homemade beans were the best I’ve ever had. Both breads were crisp and fluffy. The mushrooms were tender and savoury.”
