  “This quaint pub was built in the 14th century. It is beautiful with a thatched roof & many wood beams. It's on 2 levels so if any of your party would find climbing a winding staircase difficult, I suggest that you specify a ground floor table when making your reservation. We sat upstairs, just under the roof & it was very cosy. They have a good varied menu plus offer daily specials. Our party chose braised beef; salmon; lamb tagine; fillet steak & a homity pie (a daily special.) The menus do not state what extras are served with each main but your server advises you of this when you order. We were too full for puddings but opted for ice creams. I had the banoffee sundae but this was more like a simple banana split - it needed more toffee. It also had chopped nuts spinkled over it so ensure you mention any allergies when ordering. There is a fairly large car park & there's room for a few cars in the lane outside. My biggest recommendation is do not follow sat nav directions. Namely, do not go up Kingskerswell Lane. This soon becomes a very steep, winding single track lane. Even with passing places, meeting a car would be pretty stressful! Approach from Newton Road & then turn up the lane near the carvan site.”

  “I visited the Linny for the first time on last Friday evening and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were extremely polite and kind throughout our visit. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and I would highly recommend the Linny to anyone looking for great food and excellent service!”

  “Lovely country pub with indoor and outdoor seating. We stopped for drinks whilst out on a walk. The roast dinners looked amazing. It was fully booked so making a reservation is advised.”

  “We had really high expectation for the Linny as it came highly recommended by our neighbours, sadly it was a little disappointing and we probably won't head back in a hurry. Its a nice place and it was busy with quite a nice atmosphere - not too loud though we were sat in one of the side rooms. Being a driver, I opted for a lime and soda - it's free in our local pub and I was shocked to see the the soda was £1 with the dash of lime being £2.40 (3.40 in total) which is criminal. The food was a bit meh to be honest and our bill came in at £88 plus an 8.80 tip - this was with the lime and soda, and an alcohol free gin. It just felt about twenty quid too expensive for what we actually had - I'd have been furious if we had a bottle of wine and the bill being over a £100 plus. Reading the various reviews, it might be our expectations were too high which I don't feel is right - the bill just didn't reflect the quality of the food with the experience being underwhelming.”
