Customer Review Summary
Sea bass and prawn starters come up most often, with diners calling the food delicious and describing the chicken as cooked to perfection and generous in portion. Close behind are the lunch and set menus, including a traditional Sunday lunch of lamb and beef, and a carbonara made without cream on request for a table of twelve. Others mention a goat's cheese and mushroom starter, a delicately flavoured tiramisu, and a bottomless brunch where a brownie arrived with singing for a birthday. Staff are described as friendly and professional, happy to have a laugh, and service as speedy even when the restaurant was busy. The complaints are few but specific. A gluten free pizza carried an extra charge not stated on the menu, a sticky toffee pudding had a hard base, and a starter of mussels in white wine arrived in tomato sauce. The chef apologised and took the pudding off the bill, and both starters were taken away and remade straight away.

“Very rare I give a 5 star rating!! The food was fabulous, and as I try and have some Italian food in most cities I visit I can say that this is right up there with the best. The atmosphere was great for a meal with some background music and some ambient lighting. While the alcohol is obviously standard pricing, the food is more than value for money!!!! The team were very professional but happy to have a laugh and a bit of banter! If you are in the area you should definitely make "Tyne" to visit and support this great restaurant!!”

“Came for my birthday with friends and the service was spot on, staff were great and so friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. They were also doing a set menu which was amazing value for money. We ordered prawn starter and it was so good. I had the sea bass, again can’t fault it. Two of our party ordered the chicken and I have to say it was cooked to perfection and the portion size was very generous. I will definitely be coming back. Beautiful restaurant and delicious food.”

“Not only did these guys fit us in last minute as a table of 12 but the food was incredible. Pasta perfectly cooked and they did the carbonara without cream for us so it was traditional and it was delicious. Service was incredible, wine served for us and an appropriate amount of checking in with us. Very very pleased with our evening.”

“I went here for my birthday with my boyfriend and it was AMAZING. We went for bottomless brunch - bottomless including food and drinks! Amelia out server was fantastic, always keeping us topped up and keeping out plates full. Ellie was amazing too, and we couldn’t have had more fun. They brought out a brownie for my birthday and sang, it couldn’t have been more perfect. Thank you all for such a special birthday, we will be back! 💗”
