Customer Review Summary

Pasta is the dish reviewers return to most, from a ravioli with prawn and lobster bisque to the carbonara, the Alfredo and a lasagne, with a fettuccine, chorizo and tiger prawn dish also singled out as delicious. Close behind are the risotto, described as wonderfully creamy, the stuffed chicken breast, a fillet steak and the pepperoni pizza. Desserts get their own mentions, including an Italian trifle, a Torta Amaretto and a lemon cheesecake. The happy hour menu draws praise for its chicken wings and its two and three course deals, though one diner found the wings too spicy and reached for a pint of Poretti. Reviewers describe friendly, efficient staff, a small restaurant, and a good wine list, and many call the prices reasonable. One group said the kitchen catered to gluten free friends with no fuss, and a party of fourteen celebrating an anniversary found nothing too much trouble. A traveller from the train station was able to leave luggage by the front door.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Exceptional – A Must-Visit Italian Restaurant! 🇮🇹🍝 We visited as a group of work colleagues and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! If you’re looking for authentic Italian food, a welcoming atmosphere and outstanding service, this restaurant ticks every single box. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Between us, we enjoyed the pasta dishes, risotto and stuffed chicken breast, and every meal was beautifully presented, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The pasta was delicious, the risotto was wonderfully creamy and indulgent, and the stuffed chicken breast was absolutely superb. Every dish was a testament to the quality, care and passion that goes into the cooking. What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for a group of colleagues to relax, enjoy great food and have a proper catch-up outside of work. The service was friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout, making us feel valued from the moment we arrived. It’s not often that a restaurant manages to impress an entire group with different tastes and preferences, but this one certainly did! There was plenty of appreciation around the table, lots of happy faces and absolutely no disappointment with the food. If you appreciate great Italian cuisine, generous hospitality and a dining experience that leaves you wanting to return before you’ve even left, this place is well worth a visit. A huge thank you to the team for making our meal so enjoyable. We left with full stomachs, big smiles and the feeling that we’d discovered somewhere truly special. Five stars without hesitation. Exceptional food, wonderful service and a fantastic atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back! 🇮🇹❤️”

“My wife and I popped in for an early dinner yesterday. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and efficient. The food was also great; we went for the Happy Hour menu. We both had chicken wings as a starter; my wife had the lasagne, and I had the Alfredo. We both had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc each, and I had to have a pint of Poretti because I couldn't handle the spiciness of the chicken wings. Or maybe it was just an excuse to have a pint :D We loved it, and we will definitely be going back.”
