Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the bar staff, who make the cocktails the draw of the night. Several describe a warm welcome from the doorstaff and bartenders who recommend drinks. One praises an Old Fashioned and a long chat about rum, bourbon and whiskey, and another praises margaritas made without syrup. The cocktail masterclass is raised twice, with hosts who had the group laughing and playing games. Close behind, reviewers mention DJs keeping the room dancing and singing, plus bar snacks of loaded popcorn and chips with dips. One group of eight celebrating a birthday describes being looked after attentively. The caveats come from a single mixed review: asking for margaritas without syrup caused confusion, the happy hour deals took a lot of fiddling with the app, and some beers advertised in the first free drink were not included. The same reviewer mentions a bad toilet smell at times and a photo booth missing its curtain, which left the place feeling unfinished. Another reviewer returned to the bar an hour after a first order and the bartender remembered exactly what they wanted.

“Popped in for a cocktail in the middle of the week. Ash was amazing and made the most amazing Old Fashioned cocktail. I ended up staying for 4, we chatted about Rum, Bourbon and Whiskey, and I definitely learned a thing or two. I’ll definitely be back when I next visit Newcastle. Also Brad is the Tallest man I have ever seen!”

“We had the most amazing last minute night out. We went out on a Monday not expecting much really but we had the most amazing bar staff Lydia and Kyle. Lydia recommended some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. They had some delicious bar snacks with loaded popcorn and chips/dips. Honestly they made our night out incredible”

“Absolutely phenomenal spot, especially on a buzzing weekend. From the moment you walk in, the doorstaff give you a warm, friendly welcome that sets the tone for the night. The cocktails are unmissable! The barstaff go above and beyond to create an effortlessly canny vibe that makes the whole place feel electric. And the DJs? Their tunes are spot‑on, keeping everyone singing, dancing, and loving every minute right through the night.”

“Had a cocktail masterclass here and had the best time from the second we entered. Dough and Finn were so welcoming and friendly. They had us laughing from the get go and truly made the whole experience an absolute blast. Highly recommend”

“Second time I’ve visited this bar in 2 weeks and both times it’s been amazing! We had Finn look after us last night, a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. He was very attentive to us all. Thanks again Finn”
