Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food itself, singling out a house special curry with squid, mushrooms and onions, stir-fried beef noodles, lemon chicken, and a table order of lobster with ginger and spring onions, Peking duck with pancakes and sizzling steak. One reviewer likes the high quality meat without overpowering sauces, and another found ordering gluten free easy. Close behind is the staff, described as friendly, quick and attentive. Reviewers also like the interior, with hanging semi transparent dividers that add privacy, a tropical fish tank at the entrance, and an old-fashioned Hong Kong feel. Criticism is less frequent but specific. One takeaway arrived looking very beige, and the reviewer felt the money spent for two was wasted. Another called the meal expensive and disliked the texture of the rice, and the curry reviewer found the chips mediocre, though a different diner calls it great value. Shrimp chips arrive before the meal, and chocolate comes with the bill.

“I called in for a Takeaway=House Special Curry with chips. Ordered at the bar at the top of the stairs, waited around 10/15 minutes, all staff I interacted with were respectful & friendly. The Curry was 1 of the best I've ever had, loved the addition of squid & mushrooms/onions, you'd think every Chinese Curry would come with mushrooms and onions as a standard, but they don't. Chips were mediocre, but I would still definitely recommend the food here.”

“The food was all delicious; I especially loved the stir-fried beef noodles. Aside from the separately ordered white rice, the texture of the rice was... well, it's the kind of rice I personally dislike. Overall, though, I quite enjoyed the food, but the price was definitely on the expensive side. The ambiance was very nice, with good spacing, and the atmosphere had the feel of an old-fashioned Hong Kong restaurant. Shrimp chips are served before the meal, and chocolate is given when you pay.”

“I was shocked when this takeaway came. I wish I had took a photo to post. Looked very beige. Tasted it too! I DO NOT recommend this. It was nearly £50 for 2 of us. Are normal one was close for refub..hence given this place a try. Wish I had of saved our money.”
