Customer Review Summary
Iron wok chicken, also called iron skillet chicken, is the dish reviewers name most, with salt and pepper chicken, crispy pork slices in a sweet Beijing style sauce, and tender juicy beef close behind. Generous portions come up repeatedly, and several describe quick, friendly service and a warm, relaxed atmosphere, with one praising the owner as a lovely host. Vegan diners point to a separate vegan menu with lots of options, and one suggests asking for it. The complaints are specific. One group found the pork and vegetarian dumplings disappointing because of a thick, odd-textured coating. During a crowded lunar new year visit, a cold appetizer arrived after the warm dishes, and one reviewer felt the spicy Szechuan fried rice could have been hotter. One regular arrives right at midday to avoid the crowds, and a Restaurant Week diner says nobody felt rushed.

“One of the best Chinese food meals I ever had. So many vegan options, ask for the separate vegan menu. Don't miss this place if you visit Newcastle.”

“Really great Chinese food! Went as a vegan, they have a separate vegan menu with lots of options. Portions are generous, and the staff were attentive and genuine. Would definitely go again.”

“we came here to celebrate the lunar new year, and as expected, it was very crowded. the service could have been more efficient if they had served tables in a more flexible way, like letting one table start their first dish while serving another table at the same time. this might have prevented our cold appetizer from arriving after the warm dishes. nevertheless the food quality was exzellent.”

“This is genuine Chinese food, Absolutely bursting with flavour, tender juicy beef every time. Quick service, great prices and lots of choice. Any other Chinese food does not compare to this place, you've tried the rest, try the very best! Infusion 2018! Thank you so much 🙏”

“Tried Infusion during Restaurant Week tonight and had a great experience. The food was really good with very generous portions, especially for such an affordable price. The £20 deal included soup, a starter, and a main (with all mains served with rice), which felt like excellent value for money. There wasn’t a long wait for food, the staff were accommodating and friendly, and the overall vibe was warm and relaxed. We didn’t feel rushed at all and really enjoyed taking our time. Would definitely recommend and would happily return.”
