Customer Review Summary
Reviewers are split between regulars who say the food has slipped and a smaller group who still praise it. The most repeated complaint is bland or poorly made food, with the curry sauce named as tasteless, merely warm, or chemical-tasting. One reviewer describes dry, hard chicken, greasy noodles and old chips, and another reports a Singapore dish with no taste and hardly any meat or prawns in the fried rice. Others mention raw white onion, small portions, and crispy beef covered in sauce. Late delivery comes up repeatedly, with two reviewers describing arrivals 40 to 45 minutes behind, one cold and swimming in oil. A request for no peppers was ignored, and one order arrived wrong. Two reviewers say refund requests were refused or a promised call back never came, and several say they had ordered happily for years before the decline. On the positive side, a few praise the House Special Black Pepper with bean shoots and noodles, friendly staff, hot food and quick delivery of a late, large order. One regular says the salt and chilli chips were a small portion, and another still calls the place reliable.

“Very bland food Singapore showman no taste whatsoever curry sauce just warm. Hardly any meat or prawns in the fried rice or noodle dish. To be honest diabolical really so another Chinese crossed of the list terrible.”

“Had a few friends around, and usually this place never lets us down. Ordered 4 mains with rice and then a portion of salt and chilli chips (£5.20) not a very big portion for the price! Special request on one of the dishes was ‘no peppers’ Nearly £55 spent on food - it arrived within 45 minutes. My dish had peppers. No problem - can easily remove them. Crispy beef - not so crispy when it’s covered in a sauce. For the price you’d expect a ‘freebie?’ Nothing! Not even a bag of prawn crackers. Slightly Disappointed as usually pretty good.”
