Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the setting beside the canal and river, with a terrace and views out the back, along with staff described as friendly and welcoming. Food draws steady praise, from a vegan Cauliflower Bhaji Burger called delicious to a tasty burger with extra bacon and crispy, well cooked chips. The real ale is described as well looked after, and one reviewer liked the selection of drinks. One lunch visit included live music and football on the screens, and a birthday party on the upstairs terrace noted drinks buckets that were never empty. Slow service is the recurring complaint. One reviewer finds it always slow though polite, and others say dishes took a while to arrive, though staff kept one table updated on progress. One reviewer describes a burger that was burnt outside and undercooked in the middle, and reports stomach cramps afterward. A happy birthday account closes with the team holding the cake and bringing it out when it was time.

“Held my birthday party here in their upstairs terrace last weekend and it was a dream. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed it. The drinks buckets were never empty and empty bottles and glasses promptly cleared. The team helped hang on to my birthday cake, and helped bring it out when it was time, and when they cut it, they presented in such a lovely way. I really had nothing to worry about and it made such a lovely summer evening to celebrate. Thank you to the whole team for all their help!”
