Customer Review Summary
Ice cream is the most repeated draw, called lovely and delicious, with a vegan option and a doggie ice-cream for visiting dogs. Cakes come close behind, one reviewer calling them very dangerous and almost impossible to turn away. Afternoon tea is praised for its large spread of food and an included specialty drink, and one reviewer suggests booking ahead for it. The breakfast burrito, the big breakfast and a teacake with coffee also get mentions. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful, and a secret garden and the walk to the beach add to the visits. The main complaint is parking. One regular says the attendants are quick to issue fines and urges adding plenty of time to the meter, while others note the cafe gets busy in good weather and holidays, and one suggests choosing a mid-week time for food. One breakfast diner singled out the pot of tea arriving with an extra little pot of boiling water, and the toast with two individually wrapped portions of Welsh butter.

“We had a lovely afternoon walk and stopped at Flissys. The service was brilliant, they couldn't do enough for you. Food was great as was the coffee. I didn't have an ice cream but others in our party did and said they were great. Our dog had a lovely time to.”

“The nicest way to start your day. The service is just lovely. Very friendly and shows a genuine interest. Then there’s the food. The breakfast burrito is just off the scale. I don’t live in Hoylake but wish I did. Highly recommended”

“Went for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday and could not have been happier with our visit. Incredible amount of food included, all super tasty and great quality, beautifully presented and great variety. Plus a specialty drink included which was fantastic. Service was wonderful, ladies were so friendly and could not do more for us. Such good value and such a great experience, highly recommend.”

“What a fantastic find. Great food, speedy friendly service and a gorgeous secret garden away from the hubbub to enjoy our meal. Top marks and worth every penny (£30 for 2 sandwich meals, speciality drinks and a slice of cake)”

“Been going here for 5 years now it's not only a great location for a walk all times of the year but to have a drink or food. Cafe offer a very wide selection of food which I have tried most of which is good value for money. The cakes are very dangerous and almost impossible to turn away. Venue can get busy in holiday times when there is good weather but I've never noticed been able to get parking in the multiple car parks around it but do make sure you add enough time to the meter as the attendants are too quick to get you fined. Great friendly staff also make the location a memorable visit always happy to help and if you have a dog they are a very dog friendly cafe offering loads of dog treats so they aren'teft out. I reccomend booking ahead for the afternoon tea.”
