Quick info
About Costa Coffee Drive Thru
Costa Coffee Drive Thru is a coffee shop and cafe in Liverpool, serving customers through a drive-thru lane as well as a walk-in counter. Orders are called out at a side table when ready, and food sits on display in an open cabinet at the counter. There are no reservations here, so visitors simply arrive and order. A step-free entrance allows access for visitors with mobility needs, and high chairs make the space workable for families with young children. Outdoor seating is available for those who prefer to sit outside, and dogs are welcome at the tables. Drive-thru queues can run long at busier times. The car park has a set time limit, and fines are issued to vehicles that overstay, so customers should keep an eye on the clock while they linger over their coffee. The shop opens daily.

Customer Review Summary
Praise centers on friendly staff and the coffee, with reviewers describing servers who went out of their way and one thanking a barista for kindness. One laptop worker likes the blissfully simple setup, camping at a side table until the order is called. The drive-through draws the most complaints. Reviewers report long queues and a lengthy wait while two staff stood around at the till, and another says the store closed early and sent them to the drive-through, where most drinks and any milk other than soya were unavailable. That reviewer found the new mango frappe artificial, mostly foamy milk with a plastic taste, and the mango pieces were too big for the straw. Weekends are called disorganised, with wrong orders delivered without apology, including dietary requests, uncleaned tables, and shortages of plates, cups and spoons, while weekday staff are described as much better. One reviewer reports a fly moving between pastries in an open cabinet, and another received a parking fine by post for staying beyond three hours.

“Decided to treat myself to a coffee here this morning, but the negative psychic energy radiating from the barista inflicted severe trauma upon my soul. She was tall, had long dark hair and light eyes, if I see her working here again I'll go elsewhere as her attitude was genuinely unsettling. She did not like when a lady didn't want milk in her tea and she flung the tea thingy across the kitchen. Very inappropriate.”

“Waited 15 minutes in the drive through why??? Not enough staff covering and when going to pay 2 staff standing round whilst massive queue at the drive through”

“Be aware of parking, I received a £100 fine via post (reduced to £60 for paying early) for staying longer than 3 hours working in this Costa, this could be made more clear. I’ll never go back because I’m too petty.”

“I went to this cafe yesterday, with my 2 babies in a stroller, I sat down, put the children in the chair, my children are small, requested the order, sat down. They called me with my order, NOBODY WAS KIND TO DELIVER THE COFFEE TO THE TABLE, I went with my children on my lap, pushing the stroller, when I entered, NOBODY HELPED BY OPENING THE DOOR, I ASKED FOR HELP. AND WHEN I LEFT, A VERY POOR EDUCATED GIRL OPENED THE DOOR TO ME TO LEAVE BECAUSE IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME, SHE HELPED ME WITH AN UGLY FACE AND WITHOUT EDUCATION.”

“For the girl who was serving the coffee around 6:30 on 28/03… thanks for your kindness!! Lovely staff! XOXO Gossip Girl! Just kidding!! Thanks for the lovely time!”
