  “Amazing restaurant. The service is great and the food was incredible- we ordered a range of dishes all of which were delicious and the tempura bang bang cauliflower in particular was insanely good. For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding with miso caramel sauce which was impressive. So many lovely options on the menu that I couldn’t possibly try everything I wanted so will definitely be back!”

  “I’ve had brunch, ramen, sushi and a Sunday roast here and all of them are up there with the best I’ve ever had in Manchester. To make things even better they have an unreal tap line up and the staff are genuinely lovely.”

  “I was disappointed with the food and service. I had expected a lot better standard from a cafe in this popular area . The coffee was mediocre, the beans on the vegetarian brunch were tinned beans ( not homemade). A service charge of 10% was automatically added even though they got my order wrong after waiting a long time for our food. Overall I'm sorry to say it seems to be an overpriced and underwhelming brunch venue.”

  “Just visited the site today,im a regular costumer and always have had a good experience,but today it wasnt pleasant at all.Initially we where served by a lovely girl who has served us before and we had no issues with her as well as with the food.We arrived approximately at 8pm and ordered drinks and food straight away and the food arrived pretty fast..after 20 mins we ordered another plate of sushi,and as soon as it got nearly finished this other server came over took the plate and after asked if we had finished with it which was okay but was very rushed.After 2 minutes she brought the bill over without us asking for it and she didn’t even mention a dessert menu even though we where thinking about ordering one… she then proceeded to bring the card machine straight away without us asking to pay at that time again.Than we asked her if they where closing at that moment (it was around 8;59 )and she said we literally close in 1 minute even though this wasn’t mentioned upon our arrival and there were other guests there as well as in google maps it clearly shows that the restaurant shuts down at 11pm.After this unpleasant moment we decided to pay the full bill without the optional charge included we paid in cash some of the amount and wanted to pay the remaining balance which was around 2£ by card..at that moment the server looked confused as i mentioned that we didn’t want to pay the optional service charge than she snatched the bill off of the table and came back but still changed us extra on card.At that point we didn’t really say anything as she didn’t even offer to give us the bill back or the receipt.And another thing to point out was that the other two tables weren’t disturbed at all whereas our table was being rushed out even though we came after them.All of us in that table work in hospitality and we know how it feels to want to go home early but thats not the way to treat your guests and ruin their meal.”

  “Went today for Sunday roasts with my partner and our 3 kids. I had the roast beef, my son had the roast pork and the girls all had the roast chicken. I can honestly say that all of the meals were absolutely top drawer. The beef melted in the mouth! Yorkies were spot on! Roasts done to perfection and the gravy and veg were delicious! We also had some desserts: sticky toffee pudding, bread and butter pudding, chocolate brownie, churros and a cheesecake! All 5 were superb! Such a great standard of food and brilliant value for money too. The place itself is lovely and full of atmosphere and the husband and wife owners (David and Jo) are absolutely brilliant. Can’t wait to go back.”

  “We love it! The food is super tasty and good quality. The restaurant is very unique since they serve a mix of British pub food and pan-asian food. We've been several times and always enjoyed their sushi, starters, and burgers. The katsu chicken burger is really delicious and comes with some chicken wings and fries. Big portion and amazing taste. The service was really good. They also do very nice cocktails.”

  “Stopped off here for something to eat and drink after a long walk. Very pleasant staff, and good quality food - chicken wings were nice, crispy and hot, fish and chips was very good - fish tasty, crispy and moist; dips and flatbread definitely worth having; chilli udon - definitely spicy but not my favourite dish. Managed to stay over three staff shift changes.”

  “Wow For burger-Holics this is your pit stop!! Check out the Plucky Bird Burger in my photos. Taste wise this is incredible We also ordered fish n chips, salmon teriyaki & the chefs 8 piece nigiri ( sushi platter). Considering it was almost a full house the service was very efficient, friendly and super fast. We had a table booked at 6.30 and had full view of the screen to watch the football (Euro football). Burton Road has such a lovely vibe and this place has a great atmosphere I can honestly recommend for great sushi and great British classics”
