  “Absolutely gutted, read the reviews , was really looking forward to trying this chippy, the lady that served me was lovely, however, that's as good as it got, the food was inedible, the batter on the fish was thin and a soggy mess, and the chips weren't much better, what a complete waste of time and money, really, disappointed”

  “It's not what it was. Very disappointing visit this evening. The fish was good but tiny! Full size portion pictured, at least thats what i paid for. I like the chicken bites. No salt and vinegar after asking for lots. The chips haven't been anything special on any of the 3 or 4 visits over the last year. Really struggling not to give 2 stars”

  “Excellent chippy! Not always a big fan of fish and chips as I found most too greasy, but this is apparently one of the best I've had! Everything was so fresh that I forgot to take photos before we finished!”

  “Small but, characterful little, family run chip shop. Food is cooked upon request (order) so it's nice and fresh to go. Interior could do with a tad revamp as it's been the same for a fair amount of years but apart from that I haven't got anything negative to say about the chippy.”

  “Best chips in the area, with excellent battered sausages. Sausages cooked to order and food is always piping hot and delicious. Warm friendly service with very local feel. Plus lovely old pictures of Northenden area to look at while you wait.”

  “The best fish we've had for a while - delicious & freshly cooked to order... My Husband went in for it and said the Man in charge was friendly and professional. Chips & sausage also great. Cheers! We'll be back...”

  “Came here on a recommendation. Sadly, our fish was very oily and the batter was soggy. The chips somehow drier than a boot. The staff however were friendly, welcoming and approachable”

  “The best fish and chips I've had in a very very long time., I've been won over not just by the amazing quality of the food but also the amazing service and friendly faces. Was greeted by Beth and another lovely lady whom I've forgot to get her name. They both made the trip all the better. We need more people like them. Highly recommend!”

  “UPDATE: It's got nothing to do with waiting for chips. I would of waited an hour if need be if I knew they were cooked. Check other reviews regarding the same issue. I had to put them in the oven when I got home for 10mins. Nowhere else has issues with new potatoes and soggy uncooked chips. Gone downhill rapidly. This was the go to place for fish and chips. Not anymore. Been 3 times now since new owners and never again. Only just popped in today for a portion of chips. Had to wait for them to be cooked. Emphasis should be on cooked. Nobody likes soggy undercooked chips. 2 lads after me wanted 3 barms. They only had 1. Absolute rubbish”
