About Nando's Manchester - Parrs Wood
Nando's Manchester - Parrs Wood is a restaurant in Manchester at the Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre, set alongside a cinema, a bowling alley and other restaurants. The kitchen cooks flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken for lunch and dinner, with Peri honey sauce on the menu and mac n cheese among the sides. Tables order by QR code through the Nando's app, so diners can place an order from their seat. Anyone with an allergy orders with a manager at the counter instead. The counter also takes orders, and a queue can form there. The restaurant is open daily. East Didsbury train station is about a five-minute walk away, and the tram stop is about eight minutes on foot.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come most for the chicken, called hot and succulent in the good accounts, with the peri honey sauce singled out as a nicer extra and the mac n cheese described as dry until garlic and lime sauce was added. The QR code ordering and friendly staff earn repeated praise, and one reviewer likes that staff ask for feedback. Complaints centre on service. Diners describe waiting to be acknowledged, others being seated first, a missing fork with no follow-up, loud music and tables that were not clean. One party says their meal went to the next table and a replacement arrived when they were nearly done eating, and a takeaway customer got mash potatoes instead of mash peas. Overcooked fries and burnt chicken edges come up once, and allergy orders must go through a single counter. One reviewer reports food poisoning in their family and describes chicken stored in a drawer on the kitchen floor. Another found a hair on a plate and was given a replacement meal and a free dessert.

“An employee named Haris is amazing, got us a table, got our food quickly and the service, I couldn’t ask for any better. He is amazing. The perfect employee.”

“When we first went in it there was staff around but they were doing takeaway orders , we were waiting for about 10mins before anyone acknowledged us and then showed us to a table. The service wasn't great when we asked for things the servers weren't very helpful, there were no forks and when we asked for one someone pointed over there and walked off before we could say there were none left. The food was nice and came out quickly but the service meant it was just a bit difficult and hard work. Just odd vibes and the music was too loud, the tables weren't very clean.”

“Visited Nando’s and unfortunately found a hair on my plate. Not a great start, but our waiter Naveed handled it brilliantly. He quickly arranged a replacement meal with no fuss and even gave us a free dessert. Really friendly, professional, and turned the whole experience around. Great service from Naveed, made all the difference!”

“Nando’s in Didsbury is located at the Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre, which also includes a cinema, bowling and a couple of other restaurants. All in all, it’s a solid Nando’s, but there is room for improvement, and I have had better experiences at other Nando’s locations nearby. I’ve visited here twice now, the first time being back in January 2024, where I had issues with the waiting time for a table, and for food, and then with the temperature, and more recently in April 2026, which I will be talking about for the remainder of this review. I was able to get a table almost straight away, which was already an improvement on last time. I noticed they did get busy while I was eating, and quite a few tables came in at once. While they weren’t full by the time I was leaving, the staff seemed so eager for my table that it felt like they were watching me eat as the moment I’d placed my fork down, before I’d even had the chance to wipe my face, they came running over to clear the table. I just felt so uncomfortable and suffocated, like I had no room. I can understand wanting the table back promptly, but this wasn’t the way to go about it I was disappointed with the service in general, not just because of the situation at the end of my meal. Only one staff member was taking orders at the counter which was slowing things down, it felt all the more frustrated as there were many staff members working, and it seemed easy enough for one of them to just hop on the tills and ease the queue, while most people will decide to use the QR code to order from the table via the Nando’s app, those with allergies must order with a manager at the counter, which is why I had to wait. The food on my most recent visit was hot, it had nice flavours and was mostly tasty, but both the fries and the chicken were both overcooked, the fries were crunchy and almost hard, and parts of the chicken had begun to burn. I do find Nando’s slightly expensive, with my meal costing £16.50 without a drink, considering the fast-casual environment, and the fact they no longer provide mayonnaise (replacing it with a vegan alternative or paid peri-peri one), that is also noteworthy. To summarise, this Nando’s is fine, but having issues with my past two times here makes me want to prioritise visiting other Nando’s instead of this one. I would be open to returning in the future if I’m in the area, though.”

“We can at around five in the evening. We entered and it was very busy as it was a Sunday. We took a seat and waited for us to be seated. We were sat for around forty minutes. People who came in before us were getting seated while we sat there. We eventually got seated and we got an all in platter with a burger. The burger was free because we had a reward on the app. Before we had gotten our drinks we had already been given our food. The food was warm and the chicken was succulent. The staff were very friendly. 10/10 would definitely recommend to go and get the app”
