Customer Review Summary
Karahi dishes anchor the praise, with reviewers naming Nalli Karahi and a lamb karahi served with tadka daal, aloo palak and naan. Close behind are kunna gosht, biryani, aloo gosht, keema and the mix platter, which one diner calls a proper treat. Starters get mentions too: lahori fish described as crispy and flavorful with green chutney, samosa chaat, golgappay and poppadoms with a selection of chutneys. A seafood boil is called huge in portion, and the chicken butter is called rich. Desserts include hot gulab jamun and Ferrero cheesecake. Service draws repeated praise, with servers described as friendly, helpful and patient in explaining the lunch thali. The criticisms are specific. One reviewer found the fish in the fried starter to be cheap basa and the pricing inflated for average food, one found the prawns too battered, and another waited through slow service as the only table, with dishes arriving one after another despite a request to bring them together. One diner's visit ended with a lollipop for their daughter.

“Visiting Manchester from London and had the pleasure of having dinner at My Punjab Restaurant today. We went on Wednesday so it was not too busy. Beautiful ambiance and delicious food. We ordered lahori fish for appetizer, it was crispy and flavorful, served with the best green chutni.. for the main course we ordered Nalli Karahi and kunna gosht which was really good. For dessert we ordered hot gulab jamun and Ferrero cheesecake with aromatic mint tea. Everything was flavourful and the servings were adequate. Our server was the sweetest guy from Peshawar Fazeer, who was fantastic. He was very friendly, checked on us often, and made great menu recommendations, ge even sweetly gave my daughter a lollipop in the end. Another member of the staff Ozair also took care of us, especially our daughter who wouldn't sit still. Overall, very nice experience! 🙂🙂”

“If you are looking for an authentic Punjabi dining experience in Manchester, you might want to keep walking. The food here is the definition of completely average—nothing you couldn't find at literally any standard curry house on the block, except here it comes with a slightly inflated price tag that the quality just doesn't justify. The biggest letdown of the night was the fish. While the batter was actually decent—nice and crispy—the fish inside was a massive disappointment. Instead of a quality white fish, it was clearly cheap Basa. It felt like a cost-cutting shortcut passed off at premium prices. There are far better, more authentic options in Manchester that give you actual value for your money. Skip this one.”

“Just tried mypunjab on Liverpool Road and WOW — this is the real taste of Punjab right here in the city.— samosa chaat, golgappay, saag, matka biryani, daal, kunna ghost, mix grill, mocktails & chai… Everything was 10/10. A true hidden gem you need to try. Authentic. Fresh. Full of flavour.”

“We had a great time at Punjab. We contacted the customer service team to book a reservation, the person who attended to me on the phone was so helpful. We arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by a warm welcome. We had the seafood boil and it was amazing. Taste so good and the portion is huge. The vibe and atmosphere at the restaurant was so calm and relaxing. We want to say a big thank you to Ahmed, his customer service is exceptional. He was so calm, gentle and polite. Spoke so professionally and gentle. Great guy. It’s a 10/10. What a way to celebrate my wife’s birthday ❤️”
