Customer Review Summary

Diners most frequently single out the kobeda, praised as juicy, soft, and aromatic, with several calling it the best in Manchester. The Qabily Pilau also earns repeated mention for its rich, savory flavor and generous portions. Service is often described as friendly and helpful, and the fresh salads, separated rice, and sauces receive consistent compliments. A recurring complaint centers on hygiene, with one reviewer reporting finding a hair in the lamb shank on two separate occasions and attributing it to staff not wearing hair nets. Others note smaller portion sizes for the price, dry or overcooked kobeda, and a cold drink not properly chilled. One diner also mentions the food being under-spiced. Several highlight the chicken pizza as a standout dish.

The double kobeda was out of the world. Very delicious. Never had it before. Glad I came to eat here. Customer service was good. Tables and booths clean. Thank you for a great experience.

I was very excited to see fresh looking food a big lamb shank in the Qubli pilau. Then I found a hair on the lamb shank within a couple bites. It ruined my appetite and made me feel put off very bad. I threw away the food. I have to say this isn’t the first time this has happened. 1 year ago I ordered. Same thing. I am bald so it’s not my hair. Also it was on the lamb shank which I hadn’t taken out the packaging. I was only eating the rice. The food is good but hygiene needs to be checked. 100% you guys are cooking food with no hair nets.

Visited Al Aqsa Takeaway (Kebab House) recently and was disappointed with the overall experience. The kebab portion size was smaller than expected for the price charged. The cold drink was not properly chilled, which made it less enjoyable. …

Used to be good, really disappointed the last few times I went. Kobedah dry, overcooked and expensive for what it is. Save your time and look elsewhere. Plus won’t take card so usual dodgy cash only type of place

During the month of Ramadan, I went there with my girlfriend. The food was okay though it had very less spices which was common in pakistani foods. My gf did not like the dish due to having less spices and having too much meat fragrance. I can give 3 out of 5 and my gf gave 2 out of 5

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
