About Lily’s Beauty and Aesthetic

Lily's Beauty and Aesthetic runs as a walk-in brow bar in the Manchester markets, at 49 High St. Eyebrow threading anchors the service list, and it is done for both women and men, with no appointment needed before you arrive. Lash extensions run alongside, including hybrid sets, though brow services can be booked on their own for anyone who wants threading and nothing else. Several technicians work here, so clients can ask for the one they have seen before. The entrance is step-free and wheelchair-accessible, which helps visitors with mobility needs get in without assistance. The salon opens daily.

Customer Review Summary

Eyebrow threading is the most frequent draw, with several long-term regulars describing brows that look fresh and clean, a technician who explained shape and colour, and a relaxed, patient experience. One reviewer has returned for 11 years and another for years. Lash services are close behind, split sharply: one reviewer says lashes consistently last three weeks or more and calls the staff fast and friendly. Far more detail comes from the critical side, though. Four reviewers describe hybrid or cat-eye lashes that came out rock hard, overlapping or too heavy, with glue that irritated their eyes. Two say the lashes fell out within a day or were pulled out at home, and one says the technician was asking someone on the phone how to do hybrid lashes. Others report a henna tattoo done in red instead of the requested brown, which the reviewer scrubbed off, and one reviewer says half of their eyebrows were taken off, leaving them in tears before a photoshoot. One reviewer who disliked the lashes still called the eyebrow threading good. Reviewers also describe a refund being sought after the henna.

“I booked a cat-eye lash look and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. The lash technician made comments about my eyes, saying they were “wonky like a donkey.” I found that really unprofessional and hurtful?? My daughter, who has Down syndrome, was also with me, and while I know the comment may have been intended kindly, saying “all kids are special but yours is a gift from God” felt unnecessary and made us uncomfortable? Like I understand you’re trying to be positive but she even felt uncomfortable hearing that. We spent around £100 between us, so we expected a professional service. The lashes didn’t last and fell out very quickly after one day, I ended up removing the tiny bits left in them and doing my own clusters instead. I also noticed the individual lashes being used appeared to be from AliExpress , as I saw a AliExpress parcel arrive during the appointment. I can’t confirm that’s what was used, but it did make me question the quality of the products because the glue & lashes were SO irritating. To top it off, after we politely said no three separate times, we were still pressured into taking a photo for the social media page they had, which made us feel even more uncomfortable 😣 I can’t comment on the eyebrow services, but based on my experience, I personally wouldn’t recommend the lash service at all.”

“Absolutely awful experience. I’m sat at home crying because half of my eyebrows have been taken off. I have a photoshoot on Thursday. Rude woman who did them too. £17 to have your eyebrows absolutely ruined.”

“BAD LASHES I paid £60 for “hybrid” lashes the woman had clearly not done them before and was winging it on the phone asking how to do them properly, I came out with flimsy lashes rock hard glue, overlapping lashes that really hurt and bad quality all over. Really disappointed as I used to love this place. Absolute rip off, if someone can’t do a service don’t say yes just to take their money.”
