Customer Review Summary
Live music draws the most praise, led by a folk night in a separate room that reviewers describe as intimate and friendly, with plenty of comfy seats. A monthly music night and a jukebox also get mentions. Close behind are the friendly, helpful bar staff, with one server called pleasant and polite, and good ale at honest prices. Reviewers also describe a chilled, laid back atmosphere, background music low enough to talk over, and a clean venue. Food divides opinion. One diner calls it delicious and another praises the pub food and customer service. But a birthday meal for a party of ten left everyone complaining, with the food called dreadful and the reviewer unsure whether management had changed. Another reviewer found the ales standard offerings on tap, and the red wine came as a single mini bottle, which was okay. One regular held both a 40th and a 50th birthday here and was entertained each time.

“Had such a wonderful time, my first visit here. We came to hear Nick Dow in a velvety room with such an intimate setting. And silver curtains. The vibe and small folk crowd were all lovely, and the music terrific. We will return and try some food next time. Just had drinks from sweet blonde barkeep. Thank you!”
