Quick info
About K2 Karaoke
K2 Karaoke is a karaoke bar on George St in Manchester, where each group sings in its own private booth. Sessions run in two-hour slots and are reserved through the booking system on the website, which also carries the booking policy. Late-night bookings count under the previous date. Every room is limited to two microphones, and the song library is large. Drinks are served in the rooms, so groups stay in their booth through the session, and the food menu includes salt and pepper tofu. For birthdays, a cake can be dropped off earlier in the day and the staff serve it. The bar is open daily, and security staff are stationed at the entrance.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers mostly come for the private karaoke rooms, which they describe as clean, stylish and fun, with a massive song selection. Close behind is the staff, with a receptionist, door staff and the team who hid a birthday cake and served it as a surprise with a complimentary drink all getting praise. The salt and pepper tofu is singled out as exceptionally good food. The sharpest complaints concern the booking system and security. Two reviewers say they were turned away at around midnight because a booking for a late-night slot counted as the previous night, and one calls security horrifically rude over a water bottle. A third notes the strict limit of two microphones per room, awkward for a group of three. One group lost the second half of a two hour session to server faults, and the manager offered a full refund, which the reviewer was happy with.

“We went as part of a large group. As soon as we walked in the men on security were horrifically rude. One of them told me to leave my water bottle on the table by the entrance. Before I could try to explain that I would need to take water with me for a medical reason, he can began to shout at myself and other members of my group. I spoke to Phil on reception who was lovely and explained why we’re not able to bring the water upstairs. I appreciated him explaining this to us respectfully and fully understood why afterwards. He then made sure we had everything we needed.”

“Booked for 23rd August at 00.45am, arrived on 23rd August at 00.45am, was told I should’ve read the policy on website, and that I should have read the booking policy which said that I should’ve booked for the date before I actually wanted to arrive. Anywhere else would’ve said I missed my booking as it would’ve been past my booking date, K2 karaoke operates on a different time zone so just wanted to inform everyone that the time zone does change when you step into the building. Used to love K2 karaoke and come here all the time but the booking system is ridiculous and needs a lot of improvement”

“Came here for the first meet-up with some of my friends that I’d never met before in person. A perfect place to go! We had a lot of fun. A special thank you to the staff, especially Jolene who was so incredibly patient with us (we were a party of 13!) and took the time to both listen and explain to us our options. We were all exceptionally grateful for this! Thank you K2!”

“such a lovely karaoke venue with private rooms and clean facilities. the staff was brilliant, the music selection is amazing and we had no issues. the only downside to this place is the fact that it’s strictly 2 microphones per room, compared to other karaoke places which usually accommodate for all persons (it was especially awkward since we were a group of three). really hope they can change it in the future, and we’d be back in no time if so.”

“Had a wonderful time here, the receptionist was very nice. Rooms are clean and very stylish. There's a great selection of songs and the food is really good, I didn't expect a place that has karoke first, food second to have such great food! The salt and pepper tofu is exceptionally good and I would highly reccomend. Infact, I have considered coming back just for that! I would reccomend it with friends, it's definitely a memorable experience.”
